Possibly. I don't know. By "not about us" I just meant some things are more important than us. This is one of them.

To be fair thats airy fairy nonsense. We are very much in the public eye within this region & this conflict at the minute. If this makes our fans a target for a band of thugs further down the line as a direct consequence of this then does it become 'about us'?

Are millions of our fans going to live as second-class citizens in their own country or in refugee camps? Are tens of thousands going to be denied access to essential medicines? Are thousands going to be killed by bombs, rockets and bullets?

    No?

OK, so it isn't about us.

I will not give you reasons why we should be punished for taking a political position, for obvious reasons.

Regime, I'm going to bed. It's up to you whether you want to give a reason for your assertion that we should be punished for taking a political position. Your reasons aren't obvious to me. The only thing that is obvious is that you either can't or won't back up your assertion.

The No Surrender display at Hamburg in the Europa League springs to mind and the reaction to it on here afterwards sort of proves your point and makes it a valid one regarding how we would and have felt when on the receiving end.

Most of us can't stick that club or its fans ever since so it certainly made an impact on us

I wouldn't be that concerned if I was you, I don't think Israel, Jews or Zionism has much support or sympathy within European clubs fans, particularly in Eastern Europe, as has been said before only really Ajax, Spurs and Cracovia Spring to mind as having any sort of support for Israel and to show it publicly within their stadium.

Always makes me laugh that. People jump to the conclusion they're a fascist club etc. I guess their banners worked in winding us up because I do still very much dislike them :smiley-laughing002:

Not so much Israeli supporters but your right wing ultras will jump on this in their infinite ignorance.

Not a chance, I think you are falling into the trap of getting carried away with all this like certain others, if we do indeed get through which is my concern and not how we are perceived Id only think Ajax or Spurs fans would recognise it.

We are not the only club whis fans have displayed Palestine flags against Israeli clubs irrespective of whether some deem them so called "left" or "right"

Aye, because all the right wing ultras around Europe love us already :smiley-laughing002:

You called someone else naive a few posts ago as well.

Go on any ultra page and read comments under any post relating to us and you will see how much we are hated by your racists and bigots. Hardly think this display will change that too much.

Exactly Celtic fans have always and will always be a target for some. The display the other night isn't going to change that at all.

Can you picture these right wing supporters going around draped in Palestinian flags in solidarity with us? Infinite ignorance indeed:smiley-laughing002:

You are putting words in my mouth and I would never downplay someone else's suffering, let alone in such a crass way. I never said the safety of our supporters doesn't matter, I used to be one; I'm saying this issue matters much, much more. In a very real sense the display the other night was about something more important than us and for that reason very important for Celtic.

That was just directed at us to be c***s. The British crown is hardly pressed and the Hamburg fans have no genuine interest in promoting the British monarchy and the UK's imperialist past and (to a lesser extent) present.

Do you really think the Palestine display was like that?
