No, it really wouldn't. That would just be to * us off, it's not the same thing. That fan simulating taking a dump on the Israeli flag falls into that category; the flag display the other night doesn't.

OK. We don't have as many, usual an unnoticeable few. As I have said, anyone who knows Celtic is aware of our sympathies. The increase in Palestinian flags is a clear political position and protest against Zionism but we should not be punished for it. That's ridiculous.

It doesn't say why you think we should be punished for taking a political position.

I don't think it was done in anyway to make it an Us VS them, if thats what your suggesting, or accusing all Israelis as Zion. But just due to the fact that it was an Israeli team, it would gain much more attention and be more of a vocal point, which it quite clearly has done

Remember the two folk who turned up at Holyrood to try to repeal the act or set that in motion, they mentioned a guy getting pulled up for wearing a Palestine t shirt.

It was amazing how preposterous it all is because they even mentioned the guy who said wearing a 'Yes' badge during the referendum debate should be huckled.

Mind you I know the OBAF isn't EUFA but still as incredulous.

I'm increasingly uneasy about our club being so noticeably dragged in to a conflict of such magnitude. Unfortunately I fear the knock on effects of this will mean our travelling fans become ever increasing targets in European games further down the line. The exposure everyone has been talking about works both ways, it will bring as much negative attention as good.

Er, because you didn't give any reason why we should be punished for taking a political position. :97:

It's not actually about us. The response is just evidence that perhaps the display meant something to the people it was targeted at, namely the Palestinians the fans wanted to show solidarity with. On that level at least it seems to have been a success.

What's not about us??? Stop being so naive. The fact our club is being broadcast across Middle Eastern news, plastered across social media etc will attract all the nut jobs & extremists on both sides to our club & all the trouble that they may bring. You may believe that football & politics do mix but I'd say it very rarely mixes well. There will be consequences of this for our club & our fans.
