I'd actually feel a wee bit of pride if the authorities decided to shut off half our stadium for that reason. Most clubs have their stadiums closed down for a game or two due to racism or because of violence. Us having our stadium or a few stands closed because we made a statement in solidarity with one of the most terrorized, victimised nations on the planet would be a badge of honour.

Proud of the support tonight. Media from all very the world are running the story with positive views about the story. Human rights concerns should be highlighted at every opportunity.
Israeli forces are murdering children on a daily basis.

I don't see Ajax fans getting hammered for israeli flags. Different laws for different folk...

I am proud our fans stand up for stuff like this, no matter what the consequences are. We will not be silenced.

There won't be any punishment forthcoming and rightfully so. Our fans, and the Green Brigade in particular, stayed on the right side of the line. There was no "* Israel", no "go on home Israeli soldiers", no "this land is our land" banners, all of which would have been very justified, and nothing that can be deemed offensive in any way, shape or form. I am incredibly proud of our fans, our team, our manager and our club after last night. Those who just want to stand by and let atrocities like what is happening on Palestine continue without batting an eyelid, that's your choice, but it's not the nature of our club and the majority of our fans so don't come on here complaining about the rest of us showing support for a proper cause. Proud as punch to be a Celtic fan, with everything that entails, today :shamrock:

I've been critical of the Green Brigade before for some of their political displays, however last nights display was fantastic I thought. A lot of the controversy behind these things comes from how they're carried out rather than the message itself - this wasn't us holding up a giant '* Israel' display, or singing some of the vile chants from down south directed at Spurs fans being gassed etc. this was a display of flags and solidarity with some of the most oppressed people on earth. It wasn't carried out with an antagonistic way and wasn't actually 'anti' anything. There's a way to do these things properly, and for me that involves a level of tact that the GB got spot on yesterday.

I'm more embaressed by people saying this is a reaction to Rangers fans waving Israel flags - now that does show a complete lack of understanding of our support imo. People saying this is just a bunch of kids who don't really understand or care about the issue are just showing their own immaturity in all honesty. Caring about an issue doesn't mean you need to live and breath the Palestinian cause either - people have always protested, displayed and marched about things they're passionate about and then gone back to their usual lives afterwards.

Club should not be used as a political vehicle for the views of a couple of hundred supporters. The consequences could affect the majority of our support but were carried out by a tiny section of it.
