My point is that if we suffer any repercussions from last nights flag waving event then I hope those responsible are banned from CP . We were all warned before the event and I stood and applauded the people protesting outside the stadium but inside the stadium there was no place for the flags due to any fine that may come from UEFA .
All the fines from UEFA take money out of the club that could be spent on the playing squad or the facilities ?
That is my point mate !

    Do ye aye?

I can't quite believe this. The Palestine flags were to wind up the Huns!? :56: :56: :56: :56:

Wow. Just wow. And yes, you are very naive

So the flags got waved after all. The same few dozen with their sixth-form politics. What good, difference or change has it made to the Palestinians? F**k all! that's what. Meanwhile the club will be vilified, fined and moved one step closer to having the stadium closed. Isn't that something to be proud of!

If you want to be political and help, join a political party, spend some time, energy and money helping oppressed people around the world.

Or wave a flag at the game, get the FOOTBALL club sanctioned and tell everyone else to * off.

The claim that the Palestinian flags are simply a reaction to the huns is typical of your ignorance. Those flags have been flown by our support going as far back as the 80's,long before the star of David ever made regular appearances at Ibrokes or Loyalist areas in the north of Ireland!

The Green Brigade do a lot of charitable work, they do more than just wave flags,a few of them have been to the occupied West Bank and back here they've even organised football tournaments involving teams and players from Palestine.

You've got a serious grudge against Muslims and Islam,if I remember correctly, and I suspect that's where your problem with Palestine solidarity originates.

If you think football and politics don't mix you shouldn't be supporting Celtic. Simple as that.

All the folk againt this, go into the Israel/Palestine thread and read the posts from KRS(the poster above me) and you might understand the situation a bit better.

I think it's pretty obvious who the 'backwards' one is with comments like that :bbpd:

You don't really need me to explain to you why Celtic supporters would fly the flag of Palestine. No one is forcing anyone to agree with the display,or with the flying of certain flags.TBH I don't really care what people like you think, but you've some cheek trying to dictate to others how they should support Celtic.

Hi dolfos! 5-2 last night pal, to Celtic obviously.

Thought you might want to congratulate "your" team. Once you drag yourself away from, again, having a go at Celtic supporters.

Not surprised that the Scottish media has decided to focus on the flags rather than an outstanding performance but our own fans should try and enjoy one of our best results in years.

No Politics in Sport ..... would be fine if it worked both ways!

When politicians and local authorities stop dictating to football clubs then maybe fans can be persuaded to stop bringing politics into football (doubt it)

The Palestine issue is a Human Rights issue.. and as such should be highlighted.

I'm * elated about the scoreline as in any form of european football when have we ever knocked in 5 goals?

however I can see why people are whinging about the flags as it could lead to another sanction against the club and for all we know at the moment there is nothing stopping the higher ups condemning the action which * off the fans even more and starts causing cracks between the club and fans again just as Rodgers was starting to mend things with him coming in, results on the pitch and the level of players he's been allowed to recruit
