I'm getting my first ever season ticket this year as I'm moving up to Scotland to study. I'd planned on getting one ever since I found out I'd be moving up and had been looking forward to that on it's own, but now with all that's happened in the past few weeks I'm absolutely over the moon! Can't wait for the season to start and finally get to see the hoops in action every weekend! :shamrock:

The big drop off was really 2009 and 2010, those two years 10,000 people disappeared and havent came back, part of that was probably the recession and part that it was 2 * seasons.

Probably cost us about £4million a season those people that disappeared then.

Do they sell as much seasontickets as possible or are they deliberately trying to lower them so the no.of fans who buy a ticket at the gate/prior to match increases?

Local clubs here doing it because the non season ticket holders tend to spend much more on merchandising and food/drink inside the ground they say.

Not sure if thats true but they dont issue more season tickets anymore than the current number.

You could argue that is much more than that if u consider merchandise and food and drinks. Say the average supporter spend £750 a season at Celtic Park inclusive of their season ticket. 14,000 fans at £750 is £10.5M a season be it not all profit.

Sussshhh, don't say it outloud, some folk in the media (and here) would have you believe the drop in attendance was in 2012 when the huns died.

Question on GB seating... How does that work compared to the rest of the stadium? Do you have to actually be a member and be given the oppurtunity to pick up a seat in their section or is it just common knowledge that they get those seats? Wondering because I'm hoping to make a trip to see a game sometime this year :50:

The GB will have the front 900 seats in the corner and the 1,700 behind them will be all season ticket holders. It will not be possible to be in the standing section unless someone that has a season ticket in there gives you it for the match. Best thing to do would be to buy a match ticket for one of the sections next to the standing section where there will be some tickets available on general sale for each match.

The front of the safe standing will house the group and section members. The rest will be season ticket holders sitting in safe standing. But because anyone sitting in SS will have a diffrent colour of season ticket than the rest it will be difficult to sit here outwith knowing someone.

Highly doubt they will steal a 3rd hand chant from Motherwell. The slow clap they already do before the "Celtic, Celtic....." chant is better anyway!
