I assume you're referring to the SNP banner?

If so, I think the party actually pay for the advertising space.

I don't really understand your point.

Is this not a political party that wants to keep politics out of football?

Aye, but they're not bringing politics into football here, are they? They've bought some advertising space to promote themselves, much like any company can do?

    What are the SNP?

It doesn't get more 'political' than advertising a political party at a football ground!

They are promoting their political party in a football ground. How is that anything but bringing politics into football?

They're a paying advertiser though, aren't they? There's a bit of a difference between a company or party paying the going rate for advertising and a group of fans singing songs about the IRA or UDA etc.

All it looks like is "our politics are fine but yours are wrong". Got to love this democracy we supposedly live in.

    Why's that?

A political party which attempts to keep 'politics out of football', rather hypocritically, advertises at football grounds. The fact they paid for an advertising board just isn't relevant at all. So what?!

Not if the Green Brigade, for example, registered as a political party and bought some advertising space! :smiley-laughing002:

I could see your point if it wasn't a case of a legitimate entity purchasing advertising space at a football ground. They run ads on billboards and suchlike as well, this is no different really.
