Someone said earlier they were maybe doing it so the pub didn't get smashed up. Nonsense though. There's no way in * Ajax would have got in that pub with the sheer numbers inside of it.anyone who has ever been involved in a fight involving a lot of will know what am talking about. All of the Ajax group couldn't all get in at once so it would be 2 or 3 each time trying it. The pub was full they would have kept getting knocked back.It's much easier to defend your area than it is them trying to attack it.as I've said I don't condone violence and would advise anyone to walk away and avoid it at all costs if they could. But doormen of a celtic pub shouldn't be locking Celtic fans in when there fellow fans are outside and out numbered getting set upon. For all they know it could have been family or friends who just happened to nip outside for a *. When the doors were opened it seemed the Ajax group backed off aswell when they saw how much people came out.

 

You can see the only tumblers being thrown were empty..

 

Mate, if they wanted out that pub and two guys managed to stop them then it was probably for the best anyway. No danger they would stop 5 people who wanted out. Never mind 40 or whatever.

 

Why waste a good drink?

 

I don't disagree with any of that..

From the original camera they have 30/40 going towards the Hoops, when you see it closer up, only a handful keep coming back. At the end they pretty much run away when the pub empties and well before the polis sirens. I've no doubt if dumb and dumber got out the way straight away that the same thing woulda happened right away and there wouldn't have been several casualties..

 

I've never been in it so couldn't tell you..

 

Are the doormen regular doormen at the bar and the punters know them? That would probably stop excessive force being used. Ajax backed off when they saw the pub empty. If it happened earlier it could have saved a few people getting a sore face. Just hope it doesn't put people of from attending games. No one should go out to the football and come home with a sore face for doing nothing.

All I'm saying is, they should have been out there straight away. Knowing the doormen at that time should not even come into it. Your friends are getting a kick in on the way to watch your team for no reason...

I really hope though, that's the worse. I'm not looking forward to reading the stories from Turkey

I usually go to turkey every year for one of our holidays. I've never met a bad one yet. They do seem mental when it comes to football but it's mainly Turks v Turks in domestic football. I know English clubs have had bother in the past but a lot of European hooligans see England where hooligism originated from and think that getting one over them makes them super. English fans rioted everywhere they went years ago so they see them as the top prize. I don't think there will be any trouble over there. We aren't s support who has a history of it so I can't see why the Turks would rank us highly as an achievement with fighting with us.
