So you genuinely believe harassment of Celtic supporters( and supporters of other teams) is down to individual Police officers and not the Bill ?

    Does. Not. Compute.

You keep saying it's designed to marginalise one group of the population... You do know huns are arrested under this act more than any other set of fans? and anti-Catholic singing is the biggest reason why they were arrested?

I do agree that the police can be excessive in what they do, especially that ridiculous kettling they did a few years ago against a GB march though.

If that's the case then they're badly mistaken. How many football fans are there in this country? How many of them are Celtic fans? * off a large proportion of the population isn't good for winning an election.

You know the vast majority of tims will vote for the SNP and endorse their 'police state' next May though. They must all be wrong too.

Right there is whats wrong with the act. Huns or not no one should be arrested for singing a song. utter madness!

When did everyone become so offended anyway :56: Only 10 years ago no one cared which is how it should be, the act is most definitely having a negative impact on the atmosphere at games.:38:

I wouldn't have thought so. I was a season ticket holder from 2006 to last season and I've never heard any anti-Protestant chants at all at Celtic Park.

What percentage of the voting public regularly attend football matches and are likely to be subject to this policing ? (Therefore they don't give a *.)

On what are you basing the assertion the vast majority of Tims will vote SNP ?

I think the bill is specifically anti Irish republican because the last thing the SNP want or need is to be compered to is Sinn Fein

So what are they being arrested for then?

There was existing legislation in place to deal with racism/bigotry, this bill was not needed. The fact it targets just one group of people is very worrying too.

Ask yourself why football fans? Why not rugby fans, boxing, ice hockey...?

We don't have a problem with hooliganism in this country so why are one set of sports fans being singled out for special treatment. Are we second class citizens or something?

Exactly. If the SNP's think tanks and focus groups said any election would swing on the votes of football fans then there would be no bill.

Just seems any time I watch anything about the SNP they bring up Sinn Fein and then distance themselves straight after

It's * mental. You can be arrested on the day of a match for something you wouldn't be arrested for the next day.

What the actual * is that about?

It's either an offence to be offensive all the time or none of the time.

Mind you, better not give them ideas with that one.

Because we do have problems ffs! Nearly every away you'll see police having to stop fans trying to have a pop at each other, albeit the majority of it is people trying to be the big man. Wednesday night at Tynecastle i can guarantee you there will be trouble- it's just whether its before, during or after the game...

When Glasgow warriors were through playing Edinburgh i don't recall a manager being punched anyway :56:

So... you are for the bill then? :97:

If people are smacking each other around then there is laws for that as well.
