What is the level of manageable debt you think is sustainable for a club that does not make a profit ?

 

Are they going to roll it out again if the team happen to play * and get beat in the league?

It seemed a bit knee-jerky. I'm sure the players know the fans are going to be * off after their terrible performance, i don't think a banner was going to suddenly make them realise that.

 

How can anyone have a problem with disgruntled fans expressing their opinions?

True but even after the 1st leg there were boos from some fans.

I think the players are mostly to blame, the big players of the squad never turned up. Also some blame with Ronny for obviously the tactics and poor subs.
There's a lot issues to be sorted.

 

It's Ronny's job though and if we aren't getting a reaction from the players then something needs to be done.

Yeah I don't know exactly what Ronny was thinking or planning but it would definitely seem that's what he was doing, he's done it before and he is that type of manager that always wants to challenge the players to better themselves of course usually happening in training etc.

 

Well no that's just unrealistic, I would rather Celtic lived within it's means instead of spending money on that could easily * us over 5 years down the line. We don't budget for getting in the CL.

 

Not sure what everyone expects from the board tbh. No money in Scottish football but Celtic are expected to spend millions on players every year! It's disappointing to exit the Champions League but let's be honest, could we compete with Barca, Real Madrid, Bayern without possibly being embarrassed.

 

Boos after the first game I completely disagree with. The job was half done. The job was qualifying for the CL. Booing half way through the game could have been counterproductive. We can't re-write history though everyone at Celtic ( the board, Ronnie) were saying how important to us qualifying for the Cl was.

That was our target for the season and it wasn't achieved. Yes we should all pull together and support the team through the Europa games but to ignore the fact we failed in this achieves absolutely nothing.

 

You can guarantee when Fenerbache and Ajax come to town the GB will making there usual displays like nothing happened

They call the team and there performance gutless or whatever they used then suddenly decide to support them again in the Europa League with a display coz they no millions will be watching on TV

Thought the banner was spot on.

 

It was absolutely spot on, only the one in the 9-0 over the sheep was a better banner for me.

What are u talking about? I see our gross profit was £11.2m in 2014 over and above spending 8 million on players.

Can you tell me why a football club has to make a circa 7million profit? To save for a rainy day? Well from where I am standing it is * pouring.

I'll tell you what, there is a good comparison here. We should be spending more money in order to grow. I'm sure many on here are anti austerity and that the fiscal leash should be let go of in order to provide economic growth. Just like austerity would suppress economic growth likewise a lack of spending by our board would suppress the operational side of our club (ie managers, coaches, players and MOST IMPORTANTLY European success)
