How do they know it was a Celtic fan that threw the bottle?

Newco Rangers fans have a tendency of fighting amongst each other, especially when they supported the old club.

If huns tried to do that on a mini bus me and my pals were on we'd have flew off and kicked their * in lol

Aye, that's exactly what I'm doing.

If you read my post you'd see that I was saying you maybe shouldn't simply dismiss it as some "jumped up wee ned", whatever the * that is. It could have been anyone, couldn't it? Why does it have to be a ned?

My point about "respectable" guys going mental at Rangers games is more to suggest that it could just have easily been a * who wears a suit & tie during the week as it could have been a "jumped up wee ned".

Can never tell, whos to say they werent shouting abuse out the windows etc at the passing tim/tims

Doubt the guy just randomly opened the bus door and threw a bottle in, obviously would have been some sort of interaction.

I don't know any respectable person who would do that. Just because you wear a suit during the week doesn't mean your respectable. I know who my moneys on. Let's see if the person was caught and we will see what he's like.

Jesus Christ, did you not see the way I described "respectable" in both of my posts?

My point is, maybe we shouldn't be looking at something like this and assuming it's a "wee ned"? It could just as easily have been a drunk middle-aged type who did it. They may not even have been one of our fans.

Doesnt matter if they were a ned / middle class. Pointless argument. All that matters is that they are scum.

Aye, it is pointless, but I just don't think we should immediately come to the conclusion that it was a wee working class guy who did it, that's all.

Whoever did it was a * clown.

Hope no Celtic fan would do something like that but the chances are high it was unfortunately, I would speculate to say.

Shame a kid was hurt, never like to see that but lets not kid ourselves, attacks on supporter buses from both sides are commonplace..

To kick off a series of free political education nights this year we will be beginning with ‘Apartheid in Palestine’. Speaking we have an activist and section member talking about his time in Aida refugee camp, Bethlehem, hearing a first-hand account of life under occupation. We also have an activist and group member covering history, where we are now and what we can all do in the future following on from working in Palestine with a grassroots anti-apartheid campaign group. The emphasis will be on informal open discussion and debate and we would encourage those who can make it to come along.

    Thursday 12th February
    7:00pm

PM a Group Member on the GB website for a location if anyone is interested in this.

I'm with you on this, Dáibhí. Why even bring the language of class prejudice in to describe someone like that? Surely we should be describing them as (at best) incredibly reckless and stupid, at worst a violent psychopath, or (most likely by far) somewhere in between.

I hope we never play the Huns again. It just drags the club down.

    Edit: The violence, that is.
