They backed down last time.....obviously I don't know what was agreed....only those within the GB will know that.

There will always be silly * the club using this as a stick to beat the Green Brigade with is disgraceful.

They aren't to blame for smoke bombs and broken seats....which is the reason that the GB section may lose a section of seats together

It was behind their banner even if it wasn't them....so the ones that have caused this problem is the idiots who decided to act like hooligans

The GB have obviously trusted folk to not bring trouble while behind the banner....yet they chose to fling that back in their faces.

Which is what worries me the most out this whole thing.

The GB looking at their statement, and the quotes from members there clearly * off and angry over what happened on Friday.

Using this as a way of removing them from the stadium is a joke IMO.

What they meant to police our whole support. Lets be honest, the same thing will happen again @ St Johnstone, on boxing day.

Who will take the blame then if they are banned?

You're being naive if you think that is the only reason.

Am I right in saying that the only way to GB merchendise is through there website? In which case should there not be a record of who they have sold them to? I know I'm probably making it sound a lot less complicated than it actually is but it isn't enough for the GB to say it wasn't us, if they could prove it fine and if they could help to indentify the twats who are responsible even better! But as I said, probably not so easy

I'm not saying it the only reason but this could well be the straw that breaks the camels back....so like Marky said....your anger should be directed towards those who have gave the club an excuse.

Yeah we'll need a new scapegoat because all of the "normal fans" are angels.

Of course they aren't. The supporters who broke the seats is a perfect card to play for the PLC to refrain the groups participation 111 if they do take that decision... Which it looks most likely, the syllabus of years from liewell and co to lay blame of the group at any opportunity will continue there is no doubt about it. We must take this board down.

The Green Brigade have themselves said the bother happened in an area that was under their banner, even if it was "hangers on" that were causing the problems.

I can only then see two ways of sorting this mess out:

    1. The GB find out who these clowns are and pass their names to the police so they can be weeded out.

    2. The next time there is a situation like Friday night the police just wade in and drag the guilty parties out by the neck.

Both of these scenarios look unworkable to me.

Scenario 1, the Green Brigade are not going to hand over the names of fellow Celtic fans to the police. I doubt they would ever have done so but they certainly won't do it now given how strained the relationship between the GB and the police is.

Scenario 2, if the police were to wade in to a section of the Celtic support and start dragging people out by the neck, how do you think that's going to go down? Firstly, you could potentially be looking at a riot at a match(something nobody wants to see), and secondly the defenders of the Green Brigade will just use it as further evidence of police victimisation of Celtic fans and continue to absolve the Green Brigade of any responsibility for what's going on.

What's the solution here? What are the club supposed to do??

I would be interested to hear what you would do to resolve this situation if you were in Peter Lawwell's shoes.

Thanks but I'll direct my anger at the board who have colluded with Police and other supporters groups to smash the Green Brigade and Peter Lawwell who has called our fans "neds" and "junkies" as well as talking about giving the Green Brigade "enough rope to hang themselves with" and just last week was talking about how our fans don't want politics at Celtic Park.

Never going to happen, plus people would turn on the group instantly & people trade/sell stuff all the time.

I take it the GB are banned again then?
We'll have to start a "GB controversy of the month" competition soon.

Pay to replace the seats and let the authorities take care of whoever smashed the seats.

The club need to be super strict wen issuing away tickets now. Something like names printed on tickets and then ID needed to get into the ground, a football equivalent of needing a passport and a ticket to get on a plane...

The point I am making which I addressed in my last post is that actions those on friday night have probably been the straw that has broke the camels back.....I'm not saying that the PLC hasn't had an agenda...if that didn't happen on friday night we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Surely you guys can direct some of your anger at the idiots who done the damage.

I have experienced supporters knowing full well Lawwell was colluding with the Strathclyde police but will continue to lay the blame on the Green Brigade in denial and hypocrisy. I'm glad people like us point anger to the board fundamentally :50:
