i get your point but while other fans watch fellow fans being treated like * by the club then that's poor in my book.

Last game I went to was Dec 2001, is it really so much the norm to have your bag searched at CP these days that you guys don't consider it harassment? I work and have worked at a couple of football grounds in England and I have to tell you that the police down here don't routinely search fans who would certainly consider it harassment. I actually would consider it harassment. I'm quite genuinely worried about Scotland if that is what we've become while I've been living down here.

That has nothing to do with your posts which have accused the police and stewards of harassment for bag searching.....no one is denying that they are getting harrassed, this incident on saturday to do with the images you posted happens to every other fan with a bag yet we're not complaining about it....maybe sticking to complaining about the real issues that the GB face would be wiser.

I thought the police had to have reasonable grounds for suspicion in order to be able to search you.

I suppose they must consider it a public safety issue, like at airports.:39:

No.....it's in the terms and conditions on purchasing a ticket that you may be searched by police and or stewards.

Is that something imposed on Celtic by the council or is it an SPL thing?

Not sure to be honest....I take it that it is imposed by the law....to prevent things like alcohol, bottles etc being brought into the stadium....I've had deodorant and perfume taken from me previously because I stupidly forgot to remove them from my bag before setting off to the game.

Stewards aren't as strict as police and have allowed me to pass through with the above mentioned items on the occasion that I have forgot to remove them

Deodorant and perfume? You don't know how disturbing I find it that you guys think this is normal. This isn't an aeroplane: what on earth did they think you were going you were going to do with them?

Probably a good few with accounts but I doubt any of them post regularly at all. With 80 members they are barely a drop in the ocean of Celtic fans. You wouldn't think it though looking at this thread.

They are in containers that are banned from the stadium....can't really argue with that to be fair. Like I said....the stewards would turn a blind eye to stuff like that....they know I'm not going to lob it onto the pitch or at opposing fans/police etc....the police are strict and will take it and bin it just like they bin cans and bottles.

Do you have to be in the Green Brigade to support them or something? To be honest the fact they're in the Green Brigade is irrelevant to me. They're are fellow fans who are being harassed and bullied by the police and it has to stop.

I always used to take my rucksack to games and never got searched once. Things have changed.

Edit: OK, always is an exaggeration, but I think at least 3 times and I was never once searched. Since I didn't plan to do anything suspicious, it never even occurred to me that it would be. I once even brought some cheeky sandwiches in to eat on the (correct) assumption that once the game started, nobody would notice.
