They would. Any kind of loud atmosphere intimidates the opposition anyway, without sounding aggressive. Apart from the old old firm games that is:56:

Aye it was, but it has been much better in the past and frankly everyone I talk to about this agrees.

Euro nights at CP are flatter since Mowbray and Lennon failing in the previous 3 seasons. Nothing to do with the GB. Maybe too high expectations after 2 last 16's in a row buts that another thread.

Why do yo keep using words this about their beliefs. What evidence do you have that they're not genuine and heartfelt?

Don't know what games you've been watching mate but this seasons CL games have had as good an atmosphere as any I can remember. If anything our relative failure in Europe in comparison to the 'glory days' of MON and WGS have made it even better, there's not so much of expectation now. I've never been so happy to make the CL as I was against Helsingborg, it felt almost like a bit group stage win.

Helsinki and Benfica were both dead (for CL games) compared to previous seasons.

    Evening RR,

But it wasnt Lawwell who arrested the GB. You might argue he should be doing more to support our fans who are having trouble with the police. But then the GB seem to pick and chose when they want to go against the board and when they want support from the board. As I have said before I think the police and the GB have acted poorly this season. What I would say is that if you do not want police attention then dont take photos of seats you have torched and still then on your website. If you want support from a PLCs board then dont refuse to listen to their requests when it comes to singing songs and flying offensive banners. Or go against them, but then dont expect then to defend you.

I am not really sure what my opinion is regarding Lawwell on this issue as I still dont think we know enough about his stance and his role if any in the arresting of these fans.

I acuse them of playing the rebel because I just find whole idea of fully grown men making mission statements and gangs to support a football team a bit of a joke. They arent rebels. They are just football fans like all of us here. Or at least they are rebels that love to get attention unless they get too much police attention then they moan because a PLC board doesnt defend them! My criticism is that when I go to support a team I am there to lend my support to the team 100%. Not to force everyone to listen to my musings on anything. I just find it all a bit silly to be honest.

The atmosphere is far superior now to what it was,the end to end chanting and mass huddles and displays have all added to it,just read the comments from the opposition players.

The thing you find silly is what the club you support was built on! It's all been part of the community and culture of Celtic since we began, yet you find it silly:smiley-laughing002:

I'd Put my house on it that without the green brigade park head would be around 12-20000 per SPL game and only get big crowds for champions league etc.

We're not morons. There's something wrong with the quotes function. You yourself have had problems with your quotes.

    Sorry Packybhoy.

Edit: packybhoy, just noticed that your post about me attributing Glasgow_Bhoy88's words to you actually attributes my words to Glasgow_Bhoy88:smiley-laughing002:. Oh the irony:37:. In all seriousness, though, I like your posts.

Right guys you need to sort out your quotes.....before you hit submit that the quote tags look like the image below....any tags that are out of place or username wrong within the tags please fix it.

There is nothing wrong with the tag feature, someone has messed it up somewhere along the line

I think you need to sort your broken quote function Marie.

Find it quite bizarre that you expect us to check the username on the quote we use each time, when we are naturally going to expect it to be the one who we quoted.

Will do, Marie. I didn't check because I'd never had to before: the forum software did everything automatically. I've gone back and fixed that previous message.
