Im pretty sure the team will be

    boruc
    telfer caldwell mcmanus naylor

    Nakamura Lennon Sno Maloney

    Miller JVOH

MCGEADY POSSIBLY COMING BACK IN PLACE OF MALONEY IF FULLY FIT AND JAROSIK MAYBE PLAYING INSTEAD OF SNO BECAUSE OF EXPERIENCE. HE IS MORE OF A GOAL THREAT BUT I THINK STRACHAN WILL KEEP IT TIGHT AND GO WITH THE ABOVE.

I wont say that I dont agree with this post, but goodness * gracious look at your first post, you have Balde in there, not just fact that he is fitless, but he hasnt played in a big game for ages? :87:

hubert the guys fit to start , he can and should , unless youd rather sno or jarosik in midfield ?

I think the team i put forward is capable of beating them :50:

this team would be far too risky

Balde not played all season wrong game to bring him back.

Caldwell in midfield when he has not played there all season and is playing well at the back with mcmanus why change it?

Maloney in the centre maybe but he has been playing well on the left so why move him.

Miller out on the left could work as well MAYBE. Doing all this in one game especially a CL game would be a big gamble and one that we dont need to take.

    no risk elimente atall

as GS says formations dont matter ,its the players that can make it work

all you can ask of a team mate is to be a Goodteam mate

good players can adjust, and i see no reason why the formation i put forward wouldnt

I dont care what formation as long as man utd can beat copenhagen and we beat Benfica and we will still have a hope of going through

Well RT you have it in good authority, me, Balde may be fit physically, but he aint fit fitba wise, and never will be.
There are two things that are encouraging to me about Celtic this season, and a lot of that goes to GS in my books, one is the squad is stronger and we have more good options, the second is Balde isny playing and hopefully he will never be needed.
Now if that sounds harsh believe me I have felt this way very shortly after I saw Balde at Celtic when he first came, * same with Douglas that lasted far longer than it should have.

I think the way we played tactically at Old Trafford was correct. Benfica are a good side but the bottom line is that we are at home and if we want to make the last 16 we have to have a go on Tuesday so I think we should play our normal 4-4-2. Obviously Wilson is out so we know Telfer is going to start in his place and to be fair he has done well recently. In midfield it looks like Gravesen is out so I would replace him with Jarosik. McGeady I doubt is 100% fit and as much as the lad wants to play I would not want to risk pushing him and then next thing you know he is out long term or he starts playing below par because he never lets the injury fully heal so I would start Maloney on the left. Otherwise I would go with the regulars who have been playing so well lately.

Surely as a highly professional club and the highly professional staff Celtc have are not gonna risk Aido if he's not fit..

I would put him straight back in he has got 5 MOTM awards already this Season thats unbelievable..

    ..........................Boruc

    Telfer..............McManus....Caldwell............Naylor

    ..........................Lennon

    Naka.....................................................Aido

    ..........................Maloney

    .................Miller..............JVOH

Now thats a team i would fear!!!

Its an attacking Team but you have to play attacking football in the CL especially home games!!!

I think that's goning to be the team he puts out. If he was going to play Jarosik in mf then WGS wouldn't have played him upfront against Dundee Utd. I also can't see Naka, McGeady and Shaun playing in the same mf, only if one plays as a 2nd striker.

As the game draws closer and closer I've just realised how unconfident I feel going into it. Maybe it's just the paper doing this to me, building up doubts but if we're going to be without Aidan JVoH and Gravesen then those are big losses. Zurawski out as well? Hmm, I think this will be a really difficult game for us and I really will be happy for a last minute goal hitting off Kenny Millers * tbh.

Not concerned about McGeady being out, we have ample (if not better) cover for him. Graveson would be a small miss but his performances so far for us have only been okay really. JVOH would be a killer. The only other striker that we can rely upon if he gets 2 clear cut chances in a game to score is Magic and he doesn't seem to do anything else this season. Is Magic injured at the moment? I also thought that JVOH was taken off early because the game was won and as a precaution? As was Lenny (for about the first time in his career.)

Agreed Maloney could fill McGeadys role. Magics injured not so important but VoH is a bigger player these days.

i think Sno could do a decent job tomorrow but i think this game is far from easy. I wont be too unhappy with a point to be honest but would be disappointed if they were looing only for one.

Can't imagine a team without Lennon. He'll be absolutely vital.
