Im in 111 and People like you shouldn't have an opinion unless you know facts... And if you know the facts and the harassment that's happening and you still think this then you are a * in my eyes seriously! Would you say the same thing if it where a family member of yours or a friend? If it happend to you you'd probably cry and hand yourself in:87:

The reason they are targeting the GB is because our nice government took out an offensive behavior bill which gave Strathclydes finest impunity to arrest anyone they want who they deem offensive. Now the government do not want to look silly if little or no arrests are made and pressure is put on who ever is in command of respective police force to get arrests. So lets tackle the GB,there's what 300 of them so surely we can find some dirt to get an arrest to make our bill look justifiable.

    This is whats happening imo.

Bullshit how? so when i'm sitting 5 mins before and during the game and everyone round about is asking where are the GB they never realesed any statements today saying they weren't coming then rumours start to spread about why they aren't their, even when i got back on my supporters bus people were asking me if i knew why they weren't there... but thats all bullshit and apparently.

I am not jealous of or dislike the GB either

Of course it's not for nothing! It is something but it stops at something because its what the plod think is an offence and it actually isn't one like the videoing the police it isn't an offence but the plod who twisted the lads arm seen it as and then they add on charges! So yes you can't be arrested for simple things like this!

And btw any charges that the groups members or anybody else in the section that's had went to court have all been found not guilty not one single guilty! You may think well they got away with it but that's not the point! It ruins these people's lives taking time off work to go to court to find out they are not guilty! Quitting would be the simple thing to do but it would be doing what the government and the plod want you to do ! So if all these cases have been thrown out why do they continue to arrest people? They won't stop till they start dishing out guilty verdicts

If you see it as personal then fine I won't apologise because I'm actually quite annoyed we still have people like this in our support! Wether he is just fishing or not I don't know? I'm telling you we are one of the most diveded supports at times

Just heading out so haven't got time to give a proper opinion. I did, like most others I suspect, wonder what had happened today and why the GB weren't there. The surrounding areas tried their best though, rather than letting it become a morgue.

I also didn't realise both times we stood up was for the GB, as no one round about me sang "stand up for the Green Brigade" like we usually do. Nor did I hear it coming from the LL. The rumours round the section I sit in was that it was in honour of Stan, though that was a complete guess due to the fact it was the 19th minute I suspect :smiley-laughing002:.

So you think because people are aware they aren't in the stadium means they are more interested in the GB than the team?

Whether anyone likes it or not the GB are an integral part of the CP matchday atmosphere.

When I take my bhoys to CP I get tickets as close to the GB as possible, which incidently is becoming harder and harder these days.

that doesn't mean I am more interested in the GB than supporting my team, it actually means I want to join in with the GB and SUPPORT my team by creating an atmosphere.

The GB not being there was always going to elicit debate.

    :50:

Just pointing out no one seemed to know what it was for - at least the first time - and that neither I or anyone around me heard it coming from elsewhere because it would have prompted nearly everyone joining in as it always does. Could be it just wasn't that loud, or maybe we couldn't hear it over the sound of our own questions :smiley-laughing002:

I agree with you they are a massive part of the atmosphere but the majority had no clue why they weren't their today yet still 'stood up' for them it could have been any reason but yes the majority of talk i heard today was about the GB rather than a 6 2 win. What about the guys who get slung out at half time for smoking or whatever by the stewards on willie watch at half time do we stand up for them aswell?

I no it sounds like i'm painting myself as a GB hater but i'm really not but there was a good atmosphere at Parkhead before the GB were there and i go to the game to support celtic not the GB

I'm in no way calling you a GB hater. You are putting forward a decent argument and i understand where you are coming from.

IMO, if we had got beat today the talk would have been about the game.

You only need to look on here after a defeat, the match thread is 50 pages longer than after a win.

After a great result when there is no heated debate to be had about the performance, people inevetably talk about something else.

the GB not turning up is a legitimate talking point.

IMHO it's a better atmosphere without them. I like how the GB support the team but I felt this match and the first half of the Inverness match had better atmosphere than any other league match this season.

Tbh i agree with that ya bawbag :smiley-laughing002:

But I dont think it's right that the team puts in a classy performance especially after Tuesdays disappointment and gets a big win but yet the majority of talk or at least from what i heard was about the GB.

Good atmosphere in parts today due to the scoreline and it would have been better had they been there, no doubt about it for me

A few posts from, what I presume are, GB members on another Celtic forum I use (not their own forum).

Anyone that can't see this for what it truly is needs to open their *' eyes and if truth be told they are a disgrace.

Anybody who sides against the Green Brigade in this, IMO, is an absolute sham of a supporter. And aye that may come across as strong, and I await the inevitable stock replies, but I feel strongly about this as it is absolutely evident that Strathclydes finest want to smash the Green Brigade at all costs. The worst thing about it is that they appear to be aided and abetted by employees of Celtic Football Club, the institution that these Green Brigade lads dedicate their lives too.....
