If you work for Celtic then you absolutely should not be posting gossip or internal information on any Celtic or opposing club fan forum, regardless of what that gossip is or who it affects.

I would imagine if you work for Celtic this would have already been made clear to you by your employer.

No idea, but my boss said it may have been people who were banned for whatever reason and using other peoples ST's to get in.

They have been arrested for the zombie banner, and for singing ROH and BOTOB, they have been arrested for the huns fc banner as well.

None of that is cause for arrest, yet that is what is happening.

The ignorance of some of the Celtic support or the downright disdain for the group really saddens me. There is no reason to be so ignorant or loathsome of the group imo.

We all looked out for each other back years ago.

I hope it is just online we has dissenting voices...

What exactly are they getting arrested for? I know it's very popular to say that they're just getting arrested for nothing but the police in this country simply aren't allowed to do that, they'd lose their job if they did. The bhoys must be doing something in order to warrant an arrest?

It's amazing how quick the club are to steal and monetize all the Green Brigades chants and slogans but then stand by and treat them like this. I'm guessing Lenny won't be applauding there section this year.

    From HB:

First off there was nothing planned about this. It was totally off the cuff and forced upon us. We turned up today like everyone else, only we were met with a welcoming committe at the turnstyles. We had one banner confiscated by police and lads threatened to hand over their details or face arrest.

The polis had a sheet with names and mugshots, as these lads entered the ground they were immediately removed and told they were banned. This is despite having no prior warning from the club about being banned and have no banning order. Honestly couldn't tell you why this was happening but it certainly looks as if they're upping their ante for some reason.

It looked as if the polis were directing things from outside but them and stewards were saying they were following club orders re bans. One steward also gave a heads up that the polis were after 3 arrests.

Even in spite of this most still went into the ground wanting to support the team, however after seeing bodies being pulled as soon as they got through the tunrstiles then why even bother?

Honestly scunnered. 500 a year for this?

Well the club/polis look to be winning anyway, I'd be surprised if the gb are still there next season.

Sean - I'm 100% behind our supporters. We're a family. I'm asking the question why are they getting arrested? When I was up at Dundee on boxing day some of our fans were disgarceful. I couldn't back those fans up that night.

Do you have documented proof of what happened in Dundee? no one seems to have it even though everything is filmed these days...

And do you know it was the GB?

Quite what that has to do with what happened today I don't know.

I believe the police treatment of Celtic fans in general, at away grounds especially is shocking. Singing IRA songs are not illegal, neither is free speech e.g. banners. If anyone is arrested or banned for this then solidarity in fighting this is required.

However I'm sure a few of the GB's members are no angels either and so im sure a few, not all, arrests are justified. What would be helpful is if Celtic and the GB were able to sit down and talk, to resolve this.

The matter for Celtic is not whether or not the GB 'create an atmosphere' or are 'good for Celtic' but are some fans basic human rights' being impinged just for supporting the team they love?

If the answer is yes, which I am sure to some extent with fans is true then we should all stick together, * just as football fans but as human beings.

No one has the right to tell me what I cannot say - I have freedom of speech and on this site I have anonymity.

Nothing but Hypocrisy from you - If I were saying that I saw GB members being battered by the polis I doubt i'd get the same hostility.

Yes kinda like the GB not filming all these 'crimes' being committed against them.

Can you just post one example of a justified arrest at home?

Infact is there one justified arrest away from that's been documented?

The only ones I have seen are for the zombie banner, ROH, BOTOB, the huns fc banner...

I'm sure there are justified arrests, we are not angels tbh, but the majority of the GB are just law abiding citizens (when representing Celtic anyway :smiley-laughing002: ) who are being harrassed and having mickey mouse charges foisted upon them leading to court cases which may jeapordise their jobs or scupper any chance of getting a job in future.

As much as I love Celtic nothing is worth risking your livelyhood over.

When being put in handcuffs by a number of police your first thought Is always "I must film this".

It's * hard to have a camera on you when you are being chapped up at 6 in the morning or having people come to your place of work...
