    1. They are dead
    2. The word 'hun' isn't sectarian at any level, if you google the meaning of a hun you will soon find out why? Its like calling a thug a thug?

Precisely. I've told countless huns that perhaps they should look up the definition of the word:

'A reckless or uncivilized destroyer of something.'

In the case of Manchester 2008, the world agrees. :50:

It's not that they can't sing it, they just won't sing it. They have views on matters. It's their choice if they want to sing it or not.

That's all fair enough, the thing that gets on my nerves, and it was the same at the time, is that PIRA chant was nothing to do with the Green Brigade as a group, but it was made out to be their doing.

I'm not imune to criticising them, I didn't think the banner in Udine was their best but at the same time I thought Neil Lennon was completely out of order in what he said about them and the other fans who had travelled over after the match. I saw him planting the trophy in front of the section at the end of the season as an apology of sorts.

The singing of the rebs is a debate that we all have all the time, but it's been happening since before most of the boys in the GB were born, and it isn't going anywhere in my opinion.

They have a choice to sing whatever they want just like me, until it starts hurting the club.

    1. They are not dead - haven't been liquidated and still have their history.
    2. What rebel tunes are sectarian? I know the meaning of the word hun just like most of us do, but by using yours and Timatra's logic about songs that shouldn't be sung because they have nothing to do with anything - new tunes like "zombie nation" and any remarks to "huns" should be outlawed also?

I'm nit trying to nit pick but there seems to be some sort of thinking that the members of the GB are young lads. I'd say just about all of them are in their mid twenties to early forties and some have claimed to have been in the jungle.

I can understand the poppy banner but not the other but i suppose it was showing for a reason....

I do agree the rebels will always be a bit of a talking point but i don't care as long as its kept within reason, i would never complain to the club about song ( because i support what the songs stand for ) but just don't want to see the club in * with some over the top rebel thats all :50:

It could be true though, the GB have won the hearts and heads of many and with their own section too. If the gb were to up sticks many would follow and leaving a big gap in the stadium and around the stadium too. This would hurt the club definitely due to the financial support they receive from marketing the gb slogans and songs on merchandise and the season ticket money too.

We'll see how the GB respond to his magnificent gesture later in the season.

Assuming that was to me, I know they are of various ages, but my point wasn't that they were young lads (there does seem to be an impression its a load of 17 year old neds), I was meaning that the rebs have been sang at Paradise for a LONG time. Maybe came out wrong though.:50:
