Celtic Supporters Thread (contains GB chat)

I agree, in the future id like to see their section being the whole Rangers end bottom tier right round to the away fans like foreign teams ultras.

 

Without they hanger ons or their sheep as i like to call them the GB would be nothing like they are just now. There are more non GB singers in that section than there are GB members. The GB are only the conductors of the section.

 

In what way are people hangers on and sheep? Isnt the whole point to sing the same songs and fly the same banners?

 

Well im sure that everyone would eventually have to stand if there was an expansion as there would be others standing infront of them.

 

Why don't you ask the other posters who said they were hanger ons.
I say they are sheep due to the following reasons:

The GB tell them not to sing, what do they do they don't sing
The GB walk out due to a member being ejected, they all walk out with them
One of the non members of the GB in the section gets ejected, the GB stay in the section and so do the other non GB in the section.
The GB get their drum taken off them the GB walk out what do the no GB members in the section do yes you have guessed it they also walk out
This is why i called them sheep

 

The GB would not move next to the away fans as they would have to be relocated seats when we play the Huns due to them getting half the stand and they would not be happy about this just as i am not happy about the possibility of myself having to move from 110.

There seems to be alot of people on this forum and other forums who say they would like to relocate next to the GB, well why do they not do what the GB did when they started. No more than 10 of them started to sing for the whole game in 111 and more fans joined in with them.
Whats to stop anyone else doing this.

 

They have limited members who do all of their stuff though, thats the ones im talking about the around 100 members who raise money and make, distribute, sell and store all their banners/merchandise and other stuff and who attend their meetings, schedule things, control the tickets, come up with ideas. Theres loads more to it than just the singing at the games.

The 1000+ others who would want to join would most likely only want to do so to say "im in the green brigade" rather than do all the stuff the members do for the group hence why there is limited numbers of them.

 

They'd rather that than limited numbers though as they cant move to much further to the right otherwise there will be * paying £2000 for the leather seats

 

If they would rather move than stay were they are to make their section larger why do they not relocate to the corner diagonally facing them (not sure which sections these are). As those sections are empty except for the huns match

 

I know how much effort the GB members put in for displays etc but with out the Hanger ons as you put it the GB would be nothing.
These are the people who buy the GB merch and go to their fund raising nights, without this support the GB could not put on all the displays that they do.
If the GB had there own section containing only their 100 members and no one else joined in with their singing no one would be able to here them at the other end of the stadium like they can now. The GB need the hanger ons more than they need the GB

 

They won't move from 111 unless it would benefit them. Not cause there are 1 or 2 fans not wanting to budge.

The other supporters in that section aren't sheep or hangers on, they're just folk who want to go to the football and make a good day of it and enjoy themselves whilst backing their team.

It's a shame not everyone is like that.

 

But mate it would not be 1 or 2 it would be thousands of fans that would have to move for them to be allocated 110 112 and the rest of 111

 

If it's a standing section Celtic have planned for that area then people who don't want to stand should move. Simple really.

 

The standing section would be in the bottom of 111.

 

No-one would have to move. There would just be more demand for those areas. If someone wants to relocate to your seat you don't get kicked out, they get told that your seat's not available. If the GB section expanded all it would mean would be more like-minded fans wanting to sit in those sections, hence those sections would be the first to sell out. Anyone who already sits there can stay where they are if they want.

 

I like how you have attacked my post I did not call anyone a hanger on i called them a sheep and then explained that reason. Were they reasons not valid that i posted. They dictate to the non members of their section what they have to do.
What non GB member would walk out on Celtic because someone took their drum. They walked out that is why i call them sheep. I go to support Celtic not the GB

I have said the GB would be nothing without the other fans in their section but they are the ones who get all the praise
