I hate the people that run our club. * despise them. They are ripping the heart and soul out of our club.

    Scumbags the lot of them.

Anyone else think the board are starting to have it in for the Green Brigade? I don't like them myself, think they've dragged the clubs name through the mud recently, but they did spring strongly to mind here- they are known for their standing, jumping around etc. The article also mentioned "it is essential that all supporters sit only in the seat for which their season ticket or match ticket is intended". This would also apply to the GB, lots of people seem to go to 111 for games. What with this and the not getting tickets for Ibrox incident, it's starting to feel to me like the board are trying to keep the GB away.

It is stating the obvious to say that it is an all seated stadium and for everyones safety ... blah, blah, blah. The atmosphere at the last game was terrible until the GB started singing. Think the atmosphere will become dire because of this as the team is not doing enough to gee us all up. Think this is deifinetly being aimed at GB section.

It's not even the boards decision, any excuse to say "* the board" for most people though.

    * the board for the recession aswell I presume?

    Taken from the Gb forum:

After discussions with supporters organisations (not including ourselves), Celtic have apparently agreed to commission a feasibility study on safe standing.

The boys up at the GB have been standing for at least 2 years now, this season they were given their own section where they could stand without hassle.

All of a sudden out of the blue the club decide to announce that everyone will be expected to be seated, 1 month after the poppy banner incident. It's clear to see that the board are trying to get rid of the GB and i feel there will be more stances taken by the club in the coming weeks/months to make sure they are weeded out 1 by 1.

    * the board !

That wasn't why they were given the section. The club are only following the orders of the Police to keep the stadium open, do you really think the board control health and safety and football games in Scotland? It looks like either sit down or the Police will close the stadium, simple as. The board don't write the law so stop having a go.

    Hyperbolic in the extreme.

You are aware that the club said that they would turn a blind eye to the standing, right ?

I hadn't read that before I had posted. And this really surprises me from them. I still hold a lot of hate for the board whether or not this is true.

How exactly was my post "hyperbolic in the extreme" ?

If true, fair enough, but where is the official word on this?

The board can say anything they like, but it's not up to them at the end of the day, it's the Police.

Look this is not just a case of Celtic being able to just let the every one stand there is many issues with this . i keep on hearing about how it works in Germany .
But do you think they never had to find out about structures of the grounds etc all this was needed Celtic will have to do the same .

You said that the police would close the stadium down.

Supporters have been standing for years within Celtic Park, it's not been shut down yet and that's not about to change. Quite sad that you believe there is a possibility of it happening; the PLC's statement has had the desired effect on some it would appear.

Yeah of course because breaking health and safety regulations means the stadium is safe to open. It's common in any work place or building, if it does not meet health and safety standards then it cannot operate, simple as. Supporters haven't been standing for years, the Green Brigade have. "that's not about to change" oh aye cos Artur Boruc #1 says so, since when were you in charge of deciding whether it changes or not? Don't give me your * about it being "quite sad". Quite sad that you blame the board for * everything. What exactly was the "desired effect"? I sit down anyway along with everyone else inside Celtic Park, bar the Green Brigade.
