lets put this into perspective lads ..

Lennon and his coaching staff almost won the treble this season. To get to the final of both cups , win one, and finish 1 point behind rangers in the league, is a remarkable achievement for a ''rookie' manager.

Yes it was disappointing we lost the league but if you weigh things up .. the team did very little wrong last season but fall short during the run in . Theres alot of promising things to take from last season .. the group has now gel'd , and can only learn from experience, about consistency . Next season .. will be a big year for us.

We had one of the best defences in Britain this season and didn't win the league. Forster kept a total of 22 clean sheets this year, surpassing the 21 set by Rab Douglas in season 2000/01, I think.

Stats are very misleading. This was one of the worst defences I've ever seen in all my years of supporting the Hoops.

The reason we kept so many clean sheets was because our midfield when containing Kayal and Ledley are fantastic at pressuring teams and winning the ball back as soon as it's lost. When we're under the cosh from teams nobody can sit here and tell me they're comfortable when some nobody from Inverness or St. Mirren is running at Majstorovic. Easily the worst centre half I've seen in the Celtic jersey yet seems to have build up a fantastic rapport with the Celtic faithful and the media which makes him an automatic starter next season.

I agree with the basic point you're making in that stats gloss over a lot about our defence but surely you've seen worse CB's than Dan ?

lennon is the man i believe everyone starts off as a rookie and i believe he has done well in his first season espescially considering what he had to work with and who he brought in and coming second to walter smith who has a wealth of managerial experience by 1point.

i never said you were better bhoy m8 .. infact it was just a bit of banter .

but i have this thing of .. having faith in a manager and his coaching staff till the end of the season , instead of calling people idiots like yourself

in any normal season i would have backed lenny all the way, but after having to suffer the total * under mowbray i was wary of a rookie at the start, but as i said he has gave us his all and a good team and loads of future hope, so i'm happy

mowbray was sacked well after christmas , the bad results were building up at that point . I backed him until that point , yes . Hoping he would turn things around . But i wouldnt call him and idiot or whatever . It didnt work out for him and we needed a change .

But i didnt see the need to start slagging lenny , in november because of a few bad results . There was still alot of football to be played .

But .. fair play to the OP for putting his hands up. Takes a big man to do that.
