original Ronaldo was better than C.Ronaldo. (think it was minty)

interesting! couldn't agree more i think the brazilian original Ronaldo was more frightening with quicker feet.

Its hard to say anybody was ever better than the brazilian Ronaldo on his day.

So glad that Klose never bettered his goalscoring record in the world cup.

 

I don't think C Ronaldo is in his prime yet. We have already seen the Brazilian at his best so I am more swayed towards him but I feel C Ronaldo in the next few years could put his name in the history books!

 

Ronaldo, The Brazillian. He was amazing, on the top of his game he couldnt be stopped at all, he had some of the quickest feet ive ever seen. He also had a far higher likeability factor than C.Ronaldo

Right, ok. I can't compare them as they are different, but if I only was playing 1 guy up-front and had these two to choose from, I would pick Cristiano, as he seems more unpredicatable but complete. But I didn't really see enough of the other Ronaldo- was before I was into football really. I think CR is a good all-rounder but Ronaldo is one of the best 'strikers' of all time isn't he?

I doubt we'll ever see another striker as good as he was. He really was special.

 

fat ronaldo imo theyre very different players though, C.Ronaldo beats players with pace , messi beats players with close ball control (dribbling) but Fat ronaldo beat players with outrageous skills and tricks, his scoring record is fantastic and unlike C.Ronaldo and messi this guy was brilliant for his country aswell.

I would have said Ronaldo's strengths was drive, pace and power to be honest and C.Ronaldo's is skill and athleticism. Probs worth mentioning that it is possible that Messi and CR ain't at their peak yet, given their ages. We are all thinking about the Ronaldo at his prime while we compare. We may not have seen that from Messi and CR just yet.

 

Brazillian Ronaldo for me. If not for knee injuries he would be remembered as the best ever in my opinion.

Before injuries took there toll he was without doubt the best player in the world and that was with Zidane at his peak as well.

El Fenomeno in his Inter Milan and Barcelona days was just out of this world.
