I think you are right. We need a new right back and two centre halves.

That David Templeton looks a terrific player as well, he is destroying full backs right, left and centre, and also making and scoring goals. He is supposed to be a Big Tim as well.

There is nowt in a name :icon_mrgreen: Templeton is meant to come from a Ranger's supporting family. His dad and brother are Huns but he and his sister support Celtic. So I have been told.

He's a good player anyway regardless of allegiance, he's always impressed me when he's played us.

Weren't we interested in him before he went to the mini huns ?

If we were I didn't hear, but I am hearing we are interested now. A wee birdie told me :celt_2:

Let me put you straight young Temp is from a Rangers supporting family, when I say family his Dad and his big brother Alan, are Huns but I can 100% guarantee you young David is Celtic daft as is his youngest sister.
He cant control what his father named him.Thats Henry Tempelton, used to play with Ayr Utd. We can believe who we want mate its no biggy eh
    ?

Think ive already said a CB is and should be the no.1 priority in January.

A quality one though - not some mediocre player from AIK Stockholm or Cardiff.

No thanks to Templeton. He's only just broke into the Hearts team ffs.

Bring in one centre-back in January, and a goalkeeper if Forster goes back down the road(not sure what the situation is there?), and that's it. If Neil Lennon can't win the league, or put in a strong challenge, with what he's got then that's that.

If we sign another 4 or 5 players in January it will just reek of desperation and I'm getting fed up with the revolving door at Parkhead these days anyway. It's about time we started getting more out of the players we've got rather than always thinking that bringing in new ones is the answer to our problems.

a couple of decent and PROVEN centre backs, also cover at left back (as mulgrew is not the answer) and right back as well (i don't rate cha defensively and if wilson gets injured we're *)

ps possibly a new goalkeeper as well as I am far from convinced with forster, done nout to impress me so far hope he changes that

2 center backs is all we need. Cha will be brilliant with a good right side center back backing him

I think we will bring in 3 players in January, a GK because newcastle will probably recall Forster, a CB because I think Loovens and Hooiveld will be on there way out, and a striker when Sammy leaves, add that to maybe young players like Winchester and Ruelas arriving and the likes of O'Dea, Thompson and probably Rasmussen coming back from their loan spells and Kayal, Brown and Forrest coming back from injury and the team will be set for the season.

The january window is a notoriously bad time to buy players, except on a pre-contract to sign in the summer.

Add to this the fact that any signings we did make would take time to fit into the team, and in the short time would just further disrupt the balance and further delay the day when we finally get a settled line-up.

This is our first season with a totally new manager. If we have any significant amounts of money to spend I hope we do the smart thing and keep it till the summer. :50:

We just need proven players who will get the job done, pay a little extra if needed. This isn't the time to be gambling on cheap potential players from Scandanavia, just pull the finger out Celtic and spend 3m on a solid CB from the Prem who we know will do the job.
