Do you support the stance taken by the GB regarding the poppy?

Why go there its nothing to do with us as Celtic supporters , support the team . Note to the GB , if you feel strongly about this then fine , join a political party or something and protest all you want but dont get us involved in your warped fantasies

Next........we now seem to have a number of supporters expressing that the GB are a disgrace but without explaining why. I'm disgusted that Celtic has said that they will ban these people for protesting against something they don't agree with. It is a disgrace to even mention banning these supporters as they have done nothing wrong. We live in a free country apparently!

It has a history of having supporters who have more opinions than those of others but it don't warrant the club itself being called political. I come from a very Celtic family in many, many, many sense. But footbal, is football and certain things are not discussed. I understand people need to speak about certain things. But I don't have great opposition to people's views as I can see the thoughts. I just dont think cp is where they should be communicated.

Exactly, it's in protest at illegal wars, no apology by celtic should have been made.

END OF !! if you want to protest then do it at the right place! dont do it when you are representing celtic fans because you dont represent us all ! this banner has done nothing but shame celtic and our supporters !

Sorry to be repetitive but if Celtic don't want the GB to air their views on anything political or the poppies, then why are they going out their way to have the poppy on the Celtic top?

The Green Brigade banner wouldn't even have existed if the club hadn't dragged politics or the poppy back into Celtic Park again.

The poppy on the Celtic shirt, the displays about anything political or the poppies, have no place at Celtic Park. Both the club and the GB are as bad as each other as far as the poppy is concerned.

maybe the gb should just pack it in instead of bringing banners which have nothing to do with the team they are supposedly there to support !! why didnt they go make a larsson banner for saturday?? celtic park is for supporting the team ! not for political demos !!

You questioned why I support Celtic, as if because I apparently "support British Imperialism" means that I automatically shouldn't support Celtic. I support the team because of what happens on the park, not what happens in the stands.

Where did I say that I support British Imperialism? Please feel free to point this out, and don't tell me to "get a * grip" when I'm only expressing my opinion, and not posting downright abuse on the forums.

Anyone who has read anything wikileaks has put on the web knows that a lot of the soldiers are not heroes but villains, crimes such as torture and killing civilians don't merit praise. Celtic should hang its head in shame for trying to ban decent people who are against illegal wars and war criminals.

But it's a done thing these days. No matter what goes on in and around the club, whether people like it or not, they may wear one on the top to remember Celtic players who were soldiers in the war.

I'm done with this crap. It goes round and round in circles. What I will say is that everyone has the right to a view and can do worse than respect that of others. Poppy or no Poppy. The club, in my opinion can put one on to honour whoever they want it to, any fallen soldier and the celtic players who were in the war. I don't mind it in and around the club and I don't mind it not in and around the club. However, the GB should campagin elswhere if they feel they have something of significant importance to say on war

making a larsson banner would mean being like "normal celtic supporters".

they want to be special and they want the attention. no matter how.
