Didn't he cause uproar with the huns a few years ago when he described them as DOBs.

Tha6t's pretty bad to be fair.

Just Vile words, just no need.

Am I the only one that thought after the rangers game Lennon was actually quite reserved? He admitted defeat but said he thought the penalty was soft. He hardly went on a tirade against the officials.

In my opinion Lennon, for an inexperienced manager has handled himself very well.

Martin O'neill spoke a lot harsher in interviews than Lennon has.

Used to be a big fan of Tam Cowan and used to enjoy his quick humour and didnt think what I would read here would turn me off the guy too much.
    And then I started reading..
How the * this was printed I dont know??
He mocks a man with a mental illness, then tears into his abilities as a manager despite him not having been in the job for long and blatantly comes out and calls our players ugly.
That is not * on. You should be ashamed of yourself Cowan you little *.
Lenny should sue over this and I believe he would have a case.

missed the article on saturday but was thoroughly disgusted by it when i just read it there. i send this to the sports editor at the record

    Good morning Sir/Madam,<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>
    <o:p> </o:p>
I am writing this email as I am not 100% sure who I should direct my complaint too and as you are the sport editorial contact I thought I would start here in the first instance.<o:p></o:p>
    <o:p> </o:p>
I am writing to voice my displeasure at the recent article written by Tam Cowan in this Saturdays Record (30/10/10). In it he makes a joke about Neil Lennon’s ongoing battle with depression. I realise that this joke was most likely made in good humour by Tam, and indeed may have been taken in good humour by Lennon, but I have suffered depression myself and find the fact that a mainstream newspaper would print such distasteful drivel massively offensive. Their has been a massive push in this country to remove the stigma related to mental health problems and quite frankly I think society has progressed in such a way that laughing at others mental health problems is now totally and utterly unacceptable. Does anyone in your establish “proof” read Cowan’s material before it goes to print? I am assuming that this definitely happens at some stage before print and that’s something else which I struggle to grasp, how can an editor read this and find it acceptable to go to print? <o:p></o:p>
    <o:p> </o:p>
A lot of peoples lives’ have been massively affected be it directly or indirectly, by depression, and I implore you to consider reprimanding Mr Cowan for his insensitive humour. Should you continue to print this degrading material I think you will find a vast majority of your target audience will feel the same as I. Depression affects 1 in 5 people in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:smarttags" /><st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Scotland</st1:place></st1:country-region> – this means that 1 in 5 of your readers read that article and found their mental health problems being made a mockery? If I was in your shoes I would not find this remotely acceptable. <o:p></o:p>
    <o:p> </o:p>
I look forward to hearing a reply from you in the future. <o:p></o:p>

By the way if people are serious about making complaints they should send them to the Independent Press Complaints Commission, they're a relatively toothless regulator but they could force a printed apology if they decided the joke about depression was over the line.
