I would go so far as to say that was as good a single man performance as I've seen from a player in a Celtic shirt for a long time.

He played both centre half positions, both full back positions and as a sweeper when the midfield were posted missing.

awesome ? because the commentators were loving him?? where was he at 2nd goal? where was he when they were winning headers in the box? playing an utter pish team and he was still found out on numerous occasions tonight

I couldn't give a * if the commentators mistook him for Zinedine Zidane, that was an epic performance by a centre half.

Apart from Murray getting the run on him for their 2nd, he didn't lose a header or personal duel all night. Fact. And not even just in his own position.

FACT ! lol ok so he was at fault for a goal ! epic performance? he didnt lose a header?? what game were you watching? he lost plenty headers in the box. he was all over the place at times. hes forever running out of position which is leaving loovens exposed. i think you should watch the game again but this time turn down the commentry as i think that has swayed your judgement.

He was superb tonight, as Hammer said played both centre half positions and dealt with anything down the channels. Was beaten by a great ball and good goal for their second goal but I don't mind that, given the level of his performance in the rest of the game. Absolutely iconic cenre half and captain's performance. Against better teams he is far out of his depth but in the SPL he is exactly what we need: big, aggressive and a leader. Him and Ki, as mentioned above, were brilliant tonight. Loovens, on the other hand, is one of the worst players I have ever seen wear a Celtic top and I do not make that statement lightly. A disgrace. Only Strachan could find the only Dutch professional footballer in the world that can't pass a football and then spend 2.5 million on him.

:56::56::56::56: .... I thought the big man, apart from allowing davidson to beat him at the corner, was solid tonight, we desperately need a decent partner for him. I sat watching the game with two huns tonight, and they were howling their arses of at loovens, and complimenting big dan. That says it all for me. Leaving Loovens exposed, is up there with the best ive heard btw! lol :56: :icon_mrgreen:

That's true, he cannae get a header on target in the box, and as someone else said pair him up with a new signing Jan, a quick no nonsense CB who can head in a few. :50:
