Daniel Majstorovic... Captain?

I think it's time. I know he's been on the team for about ten minutes, but he's the no-nonsense bad@$$ we've been waiting on to lead the squad. Thoughts?

 

If we were going to take it from Brown. I would give it to him.

 

He's new to the squad and I always feel players should have played in the team for a while before being handed captaincy. However, there definitely aren't many candidates that have been here for the long haul, so Maj' is a good a shout as any.

 

if brown plays i wouldnt change it,if he dosnt id have to see more of danny before giving him the job.not really any standouts.we want a winner with influence ,think ledly may be a better choice or maloney,

 

Maloney for me. People getting carried away here I think Maj still has the potential to have headlesschickensyndrome.

 

I dont see how people can give the captaincy to a guy who has played about 6 games for us. You need to earn it, you can be given it on the grounds that there are big in size.

 

Never he has only got here. i would stick with brown

What I liked about him was his first game against Utrecht he was geeing the players up from start to finish, you dont often see Brown doing that. I think Brown would benifit more without the added responsibility.

 

I've said he should be the captain for a while, he's a talker on the pitch and tht's what we need
Brown doesn't have that extra attribute to be a good captain, i also think Brown shouldn't start.

not sure if dan is the man just yet , it was mowbray that gave the armband to brown if i remember right and i think lenny would of liked his dig and fight and kept him as captain but i think like the majority of us fans now he is seeing that scott brown is an average footballer with a good fighting attitude but sorry to the SPL dig and fight merchants but that is not good enough for celtic, we should win with good football first backed up with dig and fight not the other way round, or europe will be a pipe dream at best

 

I always liked when Celtic had a leader from the centre of defence ( none more than Ceaser) watched Dan last couple of games and he is a good organiser of the defence very vocal and ses to read a game well. Also as a Cb you tend to see more how the game is going and where if anywhere people need a kick up the a$$, Scott Brown with his full on approach cant see the full picture as much as he is diving in and chasing balls and unfortunately losing the heid too often. Yes Dan has only been at the club 5 mins and he has to earn the right to such an honour as the Celtic armband but would much rather he wore it than Loovens who got it when Brown was subbed. As for wee Shaun yes on time served he would deserve it but he is not a vocal player and he has enough to concentrate on just now getting consistensy and getting back to the talent i know he has without added responsbilities of the armband.

id have said maloney before brown. maybe if maloney had not * off to villa he might be captain saying that brown only got made captain coz of mowbray and lennon did not want to upset the squad. id go with maloney if brown was to be stripped but he is doing a good job so he wont. ps maloney has been on fire for us
