    Basically he was in the best balanced CM pairing of modern times with Lambo. People talk about Petrov but Burley was far better. He scored a goal tally in his big season that I cant remember any other CM getting near and he had big leadership qualities. Great player who should have played 3 or 4 season. OK he was at loggerheads with Barnes but Barnes was clueless. I think Burleys problem now is a mixture of bitterness about how his career spiraled downwards so fast when everything looked great and also his ego which makes him constantly go on about how poor SPL football is in order to make him look better because he played in the EPL for Chelsea. So bit of * but a legend. BTW he was an Ipswich daft kid because his uncle George played in a superb Ipswich side in the early 80s and he was not interested in Scottish football. I knew a good few guys in that period who were Scottish but only supported Liverpool or whoever.

    the guy used to be my hero but i just cant listen to him anymore , thinks he knows everything and just does not know when to shut up at times ! this was the same burley that backed george burley from the scotland squad more or less saying it was all the players and not george !

    Burley is a HUN mate..and so are most of his family.

    He may have supported Ipswich as well due to uncle George...but am I correct in saying they all come from Cumnock? If so then he's a blunose.

    Am i the only one who doesn't care about what ex celtic guys have to say about us in the media?

    I couldn't give two * about Craig Burley or his childish comments. If he's a problem with our club then it's his problem, so why should we care or worry about it?

    same goes for the rest who are just like him. We'll shut them up by winning the league this season, and prove them all wrong

    burley just wants to fit in with the hun media thats why he slags us off time and time again. he is without doubt a * bell end . the bottom line is he wasnt that a good player for us how many championships did we win with him in our team not alot.

    A good player for us at the time, but never, never close to being a legend then. and certainly not now. He obviously has a very inflated opinion of himself and goes out of his way to have a dig at celtic with every opportunity.
    I find myself grinding my teeth whenever he has a go at celtc which he does at every opportunity, a sad case of bitternes for whatever reason, if indeed he needs one which doesn't appear to be the case.

    he was a great player for us for a bit-2nd season was hampered by injury after being in world cup-that totally * our midfield that season with lambo,jackie mac and big weighorst all comin back crocked-hun conspiracy if you ask me!:56:use to score goals like the one Ki hit against St Mirren quite regular,had a very poor record v the huns tho'-am very dubious of his motives these days:97:

    hes a *, hate it when people throw nicholas in the same boat as this fud, nicholas imo criticises celtic because he cares and wants to see the club do well whereas burley just seems to be a media ego with a grudge against the club for some unknown reason.
    The way he went on during the motherwell game said it all for me, he's a puppet.
