That's where the widespread hypocrisy is.

I also have a mate and she told me she finds two guys kissing disgusting. Make of that what you will, but I think no-one is immune to gay people, it just doesn't leave you aloof.

I don't particularly like the overbearing camp sort of gay guy, you know the ones who just pander to stereotypes. Other than that i couldn't care less. Tbh there are as many camp guys as there are 'hard men' who speak of the girls they had been * at every opportunity. People always seek attention, regardless of age, gender or sexuality.

Homophobia is equally as disgusting as racism.

I've got to say, however, that I don't really understand all the "gay pride" marches etc. Neither does one of my close friends who happens to be gay, having said that. It just doesn't seem to be something to be proud of (or ashamed of), it's completely neutral.

Love is love is love. Genuine and unconditional love between two people regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identification, is absolutely beautiful to me.

My take on the Gay Pride marches is that they're reactionary.

Gay men and Women have been subjected to standard, societially acceptable abuse for years, and now, times are changing. They're celebrating what they are, and the freedoms they now have, where it was once considered a big no-no.

Homophobia is still a big problem and I always find it funny, and a little infuriating, that men (in particular) who would be known to harbour homophobic views are those most likely to display homosexual behaviour. We've all seen it, either in real life, or as demonstrated by Sacha Baron Cohen through his comedy characters, Borat and Bruno.
Plenty of dickheads I would know are very partial to wearing pink, undersized, t-shirts, and taking them (and more often than not, their jeans) off whenever they're in a crowd of men, yet in the same breath would claim, vehemently, to hate gays.

It reminds me of a socialogical experiment that was done a few years back (no source, but I'll find it somewhere) among a cross-section of Heterosexual men. Half claimed to be homophobic, and the other half claimed to be open-minded and comfortable with their own, and other people's sexuality (I'd fall into this category).

Each participant was shown gay *, and the highest proportion of men who were aroused by what they saw came from the 'homophobic' volunteers.

    Do the math.

I'm from a very gay tolerant country and for all I care I don't mind people being gay at all. Just don't like the guys who get really girly that to me is an act. I'm not going to decide for an other person what his sexual orientation should be so go ahead be gay and if your gay be a ajax supporter you find many friends there :84:
