Most UNDERated Celtic Player EVER ?

i think Hinkel is very underrated sometimes and i think big Mick was too.

 

Craig Burley comes to mind. Not the most popular man among Celtic fans for whatever reason - probably because he's a crappy commentator - but I think a lot of people forget that he was an excellent central midfielder for Celtic, and his POTY form in 97/98 (including his 13 goals) was instrumental in stopping The Ten.

agree about Danny Mcgrain, best i've seen in his position. The one that sprung to mind for me was Anton Rogan

 

jackie mack is def up there he was an amazing player for us always solid and look we have never had a good lb since. Sammy is underrated too when he is on his game he is a very good forward and still is young. also the spanish goalkeeper broto we had for a lil while was a great keeper far better than rab but didnt get a good enough look

 

The Lions are idolised as the best Celtic team( and one of the games best teams) ever. Many of them are held in the highest individual regard and rightly so. Those too young to have seen them could be forgiven for not appreciating how good they were defensively . This was down to the genious that was John Clark ( i still shake my head when i see him operating as Celtic`s kit man !!!!!). He was every bit as good as Bobby Moore in his ability to read how an attack was building and be in the right place at the right time to make ,what seemed , an easy tackle. Vision and ability in a magnificent little defensive package. He made Billy McNeill look good, and Caesar knows it, but i could have looked good knowing J.C. was behind me picking up the pieces. An absolutely, undisputed master of his craft and vastly underated. Currently i believe Samaras is a far better player than he gets credit for. Playing in a better team,(perhaps this season ?), i am convinced he will be a class act.

 

Jock Stein;Always spoken about as a manager; Bonnar/Haughney-Fallon/Evans-Stein-Peacock.Big Jock wasn't the greatest technical player,but for tactics and motivation he was hard to beat,had to keep players like Bertie Peacock and Charles Patrick Tully in check all the time,loved watching Jock.Great Manager, always thought he was an unsung hero as a player,he played with an honesty somehow,used to pay to watch him and I always got my moneys worth

of current lot Samaras and Fortune have some great qualities which are constantly being over looked by the snipers. 3 assists v st mirren at the weekend between them, they're dragging defenders all over the park.
tomorrow night fortune has a very important role to play in holding up the ball and giving our defence a breather - he's top quality at this.

i would say thomas gravesen, he made a big impact then him and WGS fell out, shame he never got a full season playinn for us

 

we paid 35k for agathe, and he paid us back with more than 1000% mate so for 50k he was fan * tastic
