Most UNDERated Celtic Player EVER ?

Imo i think Jackie McNamara and Didier Agathe were very under rated. Just wondered what Celtic player's yous felt deserved more credit.

Alan Thompson, never got enough credit. From the current team I'd say Nial McGinn crackin player still very young and very talented (fast, direct, can go by defenders, good final ball, and he scores goals,) I personally would start him ahead of Maloney, Forrest and McCourt.

 

I agree with Agathe - thought he was a huge threat for us in the ONeill era.

Forrest is already ten times the player McGinn is or ever will be.

 

totally agree with McGinn. Tony Mowbary didnt do many great things for us last season but one of the good things he did do was allow McGinn to break into the first team, great player although i think Forrest is better.Maybe McMessi aswell lol.

 

I thought Thommo was very popular and loved by most fans? Some might disagree but i wouldn't really think of him as underrated. I thought big Marc Rieper didnt get the credit he deserved sometimes and from the current bunch id say Samaras. Good player on his game and does not deserve the * he is subjected to most of the time.

 

i think your forgetting how well mcginn done last season, he's a good wee player, forrest will be better in the end, but your definately underrating mcginn

i think fortune is underrated, some folk dont see what he bring to the team, agathe defo was, so was valgaeren(mjallby and balde got more credit), and to a certain extent mcgeady, folk always criticized him, probably cause they didnt like him lol

LOL - I always thought Thompson was the most overrated in that team
(apart from Bobo Bombscare of course ).

Most underrated Celtic player of the last ten years - Berkovic or Juninho.

Most underrated in the current team - Samaras.

 

Berkovic and Samaras popped into my head because lots of fans didnt/dont rate them at all

 

Good shout with Berkovic. Always liked him tbh and he was pretty good in a poor side. Never forget the day he destroyed them at Ibrox, him and viduka:icon_mrgreen:

 

Danny McGrain was in his day the best right-left back in the world and that was for about 10 years solid, if he left us for a more exposed league like Italy Spain or England he would be getting talked about in the same terms as Paulo Maldini, Kenny Dalglish.
To put a price on him today Id say 40 million pounds wouldnt be too over the top.

i actually thought agathe was over rated, not sayin he was bad just not as good as everyone thought, my opinion, anyway,


most under rated- tommy johnson, prob more to do with injuries tho, he would have scored plenty for us if he was injury free, had a crackin record regardless for us anyway

 

Yeah, that was it.

He was one of the most talented footballers we've had here in recent years.

Thing was, he had a proper attitude problem - and MON couldn't see round that.
