TBF he is far more than a one trick pony. He has 63 International caps and over the years has made mugs of plenty of defenders in the Champions League and UEFA cup ( including EPL ones.) Aiden McGeady on his game, in full flow is an absolute joy to watch.

Doubt it will be very much as he was in the last 6 months of his contract at Spartak Moscow.

Wish he was coming back to Celtic but wish him all the best at Everton. Marintez and his style should suit McGeady pretty well. Quite the Irish contingent now at Goodison with McGeady joining McCarthy, Coleman and Gibson while I think young Shane Duffy is out on loan somewhere.

McGeady's played in the Champions League & at international level. He doesn't have to prove he's good enough for the English Premier League, for *'s sake. I'm going to go out on a limb and say Everton will finish top 4 with McGeady lighting up the league.

We don't receive anything unfortunately. He had to be sold for more than he was bought. So, anything over £9m and we would have gotten a cut. :54:

Flicking the ball with the outside of his foot and brining it back in basically a "ronaldiniho" and got away with the odd turn! Can't beleive time and time again players got caught out with that flick

I'm in no way calling Alden * ! I just think he was over rated by a lot... I just think when at us he went from being this next big thing that legends in football talked about after playing against him then lost the ability to cross and even shoot from outside the box he became really poor and the money we got at the time I was suprised.

I since watched him in the odd game at spartak and when He played against us obviously and just looked like the same kind of player no real improvement. Hope he does well and proves a lot of people wrong including me

Right now I would say no for him to come back but in the future... Maybe!

I think he's a rare talent, one of the best youth players I've seen at Celtic. I remember watching a video of him as a youngster doing keepy ups, first with a football, then a tennis ball, then a golf ball :icon_mrgreen:

He definitely has more than one trick, that's just nonsense. In his younger days he had a frightening burst of acceleration, but I'm guessing that'll have diminished slightly. We relied heavily on him at a young age to produce moments of magic when the team were struggling to produce anything. I think he'll have matured and would thrive in this current team under Lennon if he were here.

He is a great player. Took alot of abuse in his last season but he was in a * team and most of the time was just given the ball and basically had to it all on his own. He will be an excellent signing for Everton.
