Him and Doyle have been Irelands best player. "hode on the wing" - thats where he's to play buddy.

There's a differences between playing on the wing, and hugging the touchline like a new-born baby to it's mother (away from danger).

No there's not. He's been mostly at left back anyway.

    ?????????

    LB? :56::56::56:

He's just been subbed anyway - so I was justified in my assessment of him being * tonight.

He has been, Irelands been pinned back to *.

Strange sub. He's done far more than Duff anyway.

Hardly been at left back - constantly stood on the touchline.

Well, statistically :)rolleyes:) - Duff has had more touches than McGeady.

Well, statistically, McGeady set up more goals than Duff and created more chances.

    Very strange sub.

Good assist from McGeady tonight and nearly set up a second. Didn't think he played great or poor but to be fair Ireland have spent most of the game on the back foot.

    Touche!

More to football than that though as you know.

I thought it a valid substitution as he has had very little impact as per.

And btw - I would not have Duff playing at all....the legs have gone - very innefective these days.....

I just can't believe people think he's a bad football player.

Makes me wonder what sport folk are watching at times.

I mean Kirk Broadfoot is a bad footballer, Aiden McGeady however is not.

He's a good individual entertainer (apart from his final ball) - bad team player in my opinion.

Pretty sure the people are watching the same game as you to be fair.

He sets up far too many goals for his final ball to be bad though, including his one tonight.

I seriously don't think they are if they think he's a bad football player. He isn't.

His final ball is pish mate - it's as clear as the head on his neck.

I don't think he's a bad footballer, but he is utter garbage at times and certainly nowhere near as good as some make him out to be.

Not had his best night. Too quiet. Great ball for the goal but other than that made little impact. Probably sums up the game as a whole though, Ireland haven't been attacking enough to get these players on the ball.

I'll disagree on that one. For somebody with a 'bad final ball' he is the top assister in this Irish team, the most creative at Spartak moscow and the most creative when he was at Celtic Park. Setting up players like Fortune and Samaras.

    * me man if he had Larsson, Sutton and Hartson infront of him I'd wonder what people would think about him....

He set up a goal and hardly touched a ball Ireland have been pinned back most of the game. He's had to track back alot due to the attacking play of srna.

He was 18 at that point, I meant when he was at his best for ourselves.

Paulo Maldini was suitably impressed though, I'll take that opinion over yours :50:

As if it would take Maldini's word for you to agree with that over my opinion ffs :56::56::56::50:

Although in fairness, he's probably seen McGreedy at very most about 3/4 times?

I've watched him over the years and he still flatters to decieve.

Absolutely delighted we managed to swindle £9m for him - still less than happy he is filling an Ireland jersey.
