I`m with Boston on this No i wouldnt have him back - Lost us the league to motherwell on the last day when players who were over the hill should have been moved on - He also thought Rab Douglas was a Goalkeeper ???
and he was the man who gave Bobo Balde his big massive pay packet that cost Celtic Millions in the process It`s time to move on and lets face it he would not come back to celtic as a director of football it would be as manager.

He won't be back, i'm happy with Lennon, he knows we need a GK, CB and a LB so let's give him time to sort out these problem areas and we will be a froce again. A number 7 (e.g. Bellamy) would be a bonus, but Lenny is doing well. MON is always only a phone call away for Lennon anyway i'm sure.

what the * use on about, talking about would he come back stop talking crap, for godness sake, first of all he would not jump back in a job again, if look at his past, after doing a job at a club he takes time out like most managers, to re-evalute. second he said few weeks ago he would not be interested in coming back, he loved his time here, and if circumstances where different in his personal life he probably would be manager?. sir alex ferguson leaves at end of this season, it was widely reported, while martin oneil was here at parkhead that he would go to man utd, but fergie didnt retire, wouldnt be surprised if he becomes the new manager of man utd, after all very similar to ferguson, rather disrespectful of lennon everyone saying he should come back, when everyone wanted lennon to be manager mths ago now everyone saying get rid of them. * me off how some hoops fans react to certain things regarding the team... what happened to in lennon we trust christ only just got manager job and amount of negativty from fans is shocking.... take it getting behind your team is only when team winning, you support a team for life through thick and thin, i have never missed a game in 3 years, home games i mean and i live in london now. i support my team no matter what, wonder how many of you fans actually go to the games.....

No, more interested in going forward than going back.

In any case, I feel MON's areas of weakness are finding goalkeepers, and finding & accommodating creative, flair players. He thrived here because we already had Henrik and Lubo, & suffered for five years from the lack of a first-rate keeper. I don't think he'd be the one to progress us now.

Bringing back Martin O'Neil would be the right idea but we just appointed Lennon as manager. I hope to see MON back as he would bring back the amazing success. I very doubt he will come back due to money terms but all on in it would bring up sales, get bums back on seats in Parkhead , Sign top class players and bring in a European trophy we deserve.

:50: I started the thread m8 was only interested in what other supporters views were thought that's what TC was all about.

Personally I'd have NL as manager but would love MON back as a director of football of some sort for the season could only benefit us. Better than that Baxter fella IMO.

Some people are to quick to jump the gun I support NL as manager 100%

As much as I enjoyed the MON days I don't see him coming back, I'm not sure he will join us as a director of football but I would love for him to be part of the background staff.

I think he would if Lennon asked him they've got a great working relationship and MON is good friends with DD. It could happen IMO
