totally right, lennon should be above this, do his talking on the field, but i think this is a sign that already lennon is struggling with the enormity of the responsibility

* the press! They dont govern our club. He feels the need to answer because, not for the first time, an ex- Celtic player is having a needless dig at the club and it's staff. Walker, along with other columnists, doesn't have a clue what is happening behind the scenes at Celtic.

Walker had a personal dig at Lennon because he said that before he(Walker) had gone on holiday, Lennon promised British players and now he has come back and all he sees is Koreans, Mexicans and Israelis.

He is a muppet of the highest order.

If there was one decent sports journalist in the popular scottish media they would be having a field day with what is going on at ibrox. That's not the done thing however so instead they try to pick holes in Celtics attempts to bring some quality to the SPL. We might not always get it right but at least give credit where some is due after all Watty Smith has merely talked up signing targets and made none. This used to be our approach and we got accused of the "Biscuit Tin" mentality.

Does Walter(Smith) or any other manager in Scotlan get such bad press as eltic do before the start of a season? No! Call me paranoid if you like but that's the way it is.

Wher did Lennon say he was going to sign entirely Britsh players? Nowhere. Lennon has signed Ledley, Mulgrew and Hooper(all British), yet Walker unsurprisingly decides to leave this part out of his article. Addind 3 British players to your team is adding to a British spine is it not?

 

if i said i came back to scotland after 20 years and expected to see white shop keepers and all i saw was pakistani ones would that be deemed racist?it just sounds no right the way he has felt the need to bring this up all together.as if we were gonny have a full british team with no foreigners
