Classic sign of inexperience from Lennon.

Lashing out at newspaper reports and giving the press a field day.

Experience managers laugh that sorta stuff off.

He'll only get experience by making mistakes and learning from them......

He's experienced enough in the Old Firm goldfish bowl to know not to react to tabloid criticism, that's exactly what they want.

    Its not inexperience by Lennon.

He is just showing these *, Walker, Provan, Burley and Nicholas that he will not sit back and take their pish.

At last we may have someone who will speak out.

    The Officials are next...

I am not saying Lenny will be a fantastic manager but he will not take * from anyone.

Once again Lenny, well done son!

i wouldnt say inexperience, lennon's just * that guys like walker etc are quite happy to sponge off celtic for games and stuff and then stick the boot in just to appease their (probable) hunnish tabloid editors. it stinks

true, lennon should just ignore most of the pish pundits spout, but when Walker was just telling bare faced lies (e.g about lennons signing policy) then i think its fair enough to criticize him and tell him he's talking *

quite frankly, i'm sick of ex-celts in the media puting the boot in first chance they get; leagues not even started yet but we're already "in crisis"; * forbid if we dont win our first game! and of course this all becomes a convenient sideshow to deflect away from the club with real problems

It's always gonna happen though, so he has to learn not to react to every tabloid report, the more you react the more they feed off it.

Ignore it and it makes them look stupid when they spout crap.

Perhaps Lennon is just trying to nip it in the bud before the season starts..fight fire with fire and that.

If ex-professionals are allowed to comment on players, managers etc, should they not be allowed to defend themselves via the same way i.e columns?

This stuff just gets filed by the tabloids though and encourages them to wind him up more.

It won't do him any favours.

tbf to lennon, i think he'll prove to be a bit more media savvy than TM was last year; although i actually rather liked TM totally blanking the tabloids theres no doubt it in someway contributed to his eventual downfall.

i just wish celtic fans didnt read or buy this *, because it seems to me that a lot still do and form their opinions based on what a crap pundit like andy walker says in a ghost written tabloid column!

If it was me and I was quizzed on it I would've just said 'I don't read tabloid papers'.

Alex Ferguson said he stopped reading tabloids in 1990!

Whatever lenny does he will be criticised, whilst uncle walter's comment's are swept under the carpet.

Indeed. The man with no surname does no wrong in the eyes of the Scottish tabloids IMO.

It's about time a Celtic manager kicked back against the biased media. If we keep taking it nothing will change. The only time it will sound anything other than sour grapes though is when the team is winning on the park. This is all done to sell papers however ex celtic players shouldn't have to sell their souls to get on in the media.
