we wont have to pay all of his wages. we will only have to pay half of them and man city will pay the other half, cause they badly need to let players go. they dont really need the money from spurs either. come on bellamy, you know what club to choose :icon_mrgreen:

He won't come now, being knocked out of the CL last night has probably knocked us out of the running. I know that Man City have to unload some of their current squad due to the new EPL rules, but even City wouldn't turn up their noses at £8mil today from Spurs.

I think Belamy enjoyed his last spell at Celtic, however I am not sure he enjoyed the SPL challenge too much.

The only way we will get him is a loan move and if Man City pay half/more than half his wages. Permanent transfer is a DEFINATE NO-NO!!!

I remember the absolutely vehement comments on this board in January stating, as a matter of fact, that we wouldn't sign Keane...and look what happened.

I'm not getting my hopes up but it's definately a possibility.

realistically we could only afford a loan deal. I don't think signing Bellamy should be a priority - we ought to be spending money sorting out our defence - we badly need a centre-half and a left-back who can actually defend.

In a 4-3-3. Okay that would be insane. Sorry just poped into my head, c'mon Bellers, still just a pipe dream though

no chance man...in the last 3 years we've got rid of thompson, lennon, jarosik, gravesen, naka, bobo, donati, vennegoor, boruc and now mcgeady is set to go...all of them would have been on somethin between 20k and 30k a week at least...none of the players we have now will be on as much as that

Fortune and Brown are on over 20k, I'd imagine some of the new signings will be on similar (Ledley and Juarez), and we've been offering big contracts to Campbell, Bullard and James so we clearly still have money left in the budget. Add on this the fact we have a much bigger first team squad and I'd say we'd be spending the same on wages as ever. How much were people like Flood and Mizuno picking up?

EDIT: And need I mention Keane?

He won't waste us in wages due to Celtic looking to get him on loan.. We won't be paying all of his wages. Besides he was arguably in the best form of his career last season.
