easy, he was free and we didnt have a left back(he sees misun as a CB), im sure mulgrew will only be a back up this year, we will sign another but we do need backups aswell

One or two good balls into the box doesn't make up for getting skined all game. He's a LB his main job is too defend and he doesn't do it.

Mulgrew and Rassmussen will see time during games where we got people pinned back in siege mode and can't break through with MAF or Sammy cuz there is a lack of room to move (which is generally the type of game they have the most trouble with). Charlie can ping a decent cross but just doesn't have the speed or positioning for the likes of a type tier winger

I think he was signed for his delivery and as a back up not as a first team starter. He has exposed for being * this weekend, but he are not playing arsenal week in week out. I just hope whoever we sign as first choice LB is a * sight better.

That wasn't the statement made. The statement was that he offers nothing.

He clearly offers superb delivery from set pieces and a genuine goal threat from free kicks as well.

why use guys been so so negative, allways the same totally negative, what you expect a pllayer come in and perform world class from day one, he was free, scored 13 goals last year, and if ask any aberdeen fans was there best player, players need time to settle in, get used to the way manager wants them to play, and then they have to get used to players around them, then a team gel's as a unit, jesus the way some of use talk think never played football before at a good standard or understand about football. some of comments totally negative as per usual. its pre season for *'s sake lol. lennon brought the player in as cost nothing, and good squad player dont think be number one at left back but can do a job and his job willl be spl after all teams not as good at the teams we played in pre season so give the boy a break, and give the team a break. takes time for new players to gel and you can see a lot of promise from the team

I have a horrible feeling we'll be going into the new season with him at left back. I'd rather have Wilson in his position. I hope I'm proved wrong.

He has been roasted in all of the pre-season games so far, not a good sign is it. Footbal is unfortunately about money and a guy for nothing from Aberdeen is never going to make the grade. He might do for cover in the SPL if we have injuries but the thought of him being our first choice left back makes me want to get the boots back out a give Lennon a phone!!

he's not good enough for top level games but should suffice if needed as back up for spl, however Murphy was meant to be playing left wing today, didnt see him one in our half tracking back

Probably to stop him putting free kicks into our box with Aberdeen.

There's no way that guy is a defender, we'd be much better signing another Lb who can actually defend and have Mulgrew operate as a back-up LM or somethin.
He was free and won't be hammering the wage structure so i'm more than willing to give him a chance.

He is crap. There was a reason he was let go in the first place, he is * poor defensively imo but he is handy to have around because his dead ball skills are the best we have probably.
