Laughable that people are nominating players who have played 2 games for the club and in a few cases, first two games in the UK. and they're not even experienced players either. ffs man

 

After reading your post I've changed my mind and am positive Loovens will get the armband.. He finished the match the other night as captain and I can't see him being dropped untill he makes some serious clangers in a couple of weeks time..

 

i agree . not saying samaras is the answer but he has been at the club for 2 years and maybey could relish the captainsy?

Doesn't really matter, you could give it to anyone in the team just now and not have it make a difference, hooiveld/ledley/juarez possible future candidates, but I wouldn't give it to them until they've settled into the team.

I'd take it off Brown though, just to make it so he has to play well and earn his place in the lineup, rather than being an automatic first pick because of this idea that you can't drop the captain, even if he's pants.

 

Brown for me as the squad stands.

to be honest lenny was a great captain he should know who is up for the job
who has the drive and passion.

 

Managers usually have very little to do when picking a Captain as the personalities assert themselves (unless you have 2 or more big characters like England did recently)...

So Brown is no doubt the right choice with the current team but next season this may change... I always find it strange when fans think they know better than people internal to the team..

 

Yeah you see that day in day out on forums. They know the correct line-up, formation etc better than those at the club. The hindsight brigade.

The most vocal seems to be Hooiveld ,doesnt mean he is the best player but he does do a lot of shouting during the game.

Juarez if he can brush up on his English. He looks like a leader always speaking and shouting.

 

no. In ever group of people one person always ends up taking the lead.

It amazes me that people think they know the dressing room better than the players, coaching staff and manager based on how they play on the pitch.

alot of players do alot of shouting. Doesn't mean they're shouting the right things. For all you know they could be blaming others for their mistakes etc.

 

Might not be a full team as most of the sqaud are on international duty

so we have to judge them on the pitch because not many people can see wat goes on in the changing room .
