The guy has only played to competetive games since October. Give him a chance to get the legs going again. We looked a far better side last season when he played. Its not just a coincidence that we fell to pieces when he got injured.

Can I also say that he is playing infront of Mulgrew who is the weak link in the team at the minute. With a better player behind him and a run of games I definately think Shaun will have a big say in the season

Conversely, Mulgrew is playing behind a guy that has never made a tackle and won the ball in his tod.

I would send him out to a SPL club on loan. Hamilton or Hibs would probably be good for him and hopefully he'll rediscover his confidence and form providing he stays injury free.

ffs, hes one of our best players!

you'v got to remember that he has outstanding work rate and great dribbling and fits perfect into Celtic and thats what we need right now, Him and McCourt on both wings.

    :rolleyes::38:

If & i know its a big if , shaun could stay injury free for a good spell

he would be one of the best players in the team again.

He has the skill, composure, & football brain that is required

to be a big asset to the club again.

The comment above in bold is imo poor, but everyone is entitled

    to their opinion.

Can't see anyone buying him so we're stuck with him till his contract runs out at the end of the season. This season will be his last chance. If he doesn't deliver we should have no hesitation in releasing him. What goes around comes around. Never liked the way he left for villa.

You're quite right. Just checked. We gave him a 4 year deal for some reason.

It's a make or break season for Shaun.

I think he'll deliver this season with over 15 goals and as many assists.

Were you saying that when he hammered that 30 yarder past Klos?

Or when he was player of the year in 2006.

    Get a grip man!

    You're kidding!

With Maloney's talent there's plenty of clubs who would pay upwards of £1m for him.

It was just over two years ago - he scored a double at Stamford Bridge v Chelsea.

4 years ago he was picking up POTY awards and scoring 20 goals a season for us.

Ok so he's had a few injuries, but he has the talent to come back and deliver. I think he will deliver this season.

Then you obviously don't watch games properly! It's an aspect of Maloneys game that has improved some what in the last 5 years when Strachan
came, McGeady is the same! Open your eyes, he won the ball back a good few
times the other night! Incidently, do you feel the same way about McGeady?

Nonsense, he never scored 20 goals in his life. Also he didn't have only a few injuries, he's been having major issues with spending more time off the pitch than on the pitch. He is done, his body is made of glass. He will never stay injury-free again and repeat his POTY season.

Plus there are no clubs interested. They ain't stupid enough to buy an invalid player.

Just got to laugh at some people...In Maloneys best goal scoring season he scored almost double what McGeady has in his beat season! 15 goals from left midfield is a pretty good return if you ask me, that's to 10 million pound McGeady's 8!

Why do you bring McGeady into this debate? One poster said he scored 20 when he never did. I just corrected him. That's facts. Never said a word about McGeady.
