People go on about midfielders and their passing. This man has it already.

Was our best player by a long way today.

The ideal example of keeping faith in a player. Love him at the moment.

Never sell him he looks as if he could become a real world class player. Why sell him when he starts showing his ability?

the throughball he sent to mcginn down the right today was * magic. he's good for one or two of those a game which always set up scoring chances. if we can get somebody in there that makes consistent runs for him to ping the ball around to, we'll see his full potential. that must be in lennys plans going forward. must be

You never know, who would have thought Larsson would have become world class after his first game in the hoops?

No way, he's just starting to show what he can do.
I am a bit worried about this military service thing, hopefully we can find a way around it!

he has footballing intelligence in abundance. See his turn under pressure down by his own box?!

composure being his strength. He needs to improve on his passing and end-product though. But I think that will come.

I agree with the OP on this one. I think Ki has all the talent in the world, but lacks the football intelligence to be a truly effective player. I don't know that it means we should sell him, but I think he's gonna want sold soon anyways due to not being a first eleven pick week in/week out. I think his value is as high as it is gonna get, and if an offer came in I wouldn't turn away. To me, Ledley brings much more to the side, as does Kayal. Brown is looking the player we all hoped and Commons brings that attacking attitude that balances the side. I kind of wished we'd sold Ki earlier and kept Crosas, but that's another matter. I just really think Ki is gonna move to England first chance. Has never really taken to the team, from what I see, doesn't show much loyalty, and obviously dislikes the Scottish fans (other clubs) as demonstrated when he protested over his monkey dance. I'd just like to see us get something for him rather than have him devalue over the next two years and get nothing like we did with Crosas.

    Oh dear. Where to begin.

He has all the talent in the world... but no football intelligence? Aside from the fact that Ki is a very talented footballer, how do you conclude that there's a huge difference between footballing talent and intelligence?

How do you have any idea what his value is? There have been no bids for him from anybody. Any figure at the moment is purely speculative. As for saying that his value is as high as it can be - rarely do footballers, especially midfielders, peak at 22. Ki has many of his best years ahead of him and despite that is still one the key players for South Korea.

Regardless of your opinion on Celtic's other midfielders, Ki is at the very least a good squad player for us. I doubt you could find someone of his caliber for the price we bought Ki in for.

Odd that, because Ki already had the chance to play in England and turned it down. Ki knows he has a lot to learn and sees Scotland as a good place to do it. He'll only go to a good English team if he goes at all - he doesn't want to settle for mediocrity.

Was is it that Ki has done that gave you the impression he hasn't 'taken to the team'?
For that matter - in what way has he shown a lack of loyalty?

Could it just be that you've fabricated these feelings to justify your inexplicable dislike of this player?

What's the problem with that? Do you require Ki to be enamoured of all Scottish football fans (just like we, as fans all are ) and to lie down and take the racist jibes he is subject to like a good wee boy? What is wrong with you?

Crosas only devalued because he didn't get a game. Ki is clearly part of Lennon's plans and will only improve over the next few years.

Ki is a top quality player. Good delivery for Ledleys goal, in the summer we need 2 signings a big striker and big defender, both of whom need to be immense in the air as we have some great corner and freekick takers but basically nobody whos good in the air.

Being the opening poster, I am convinced we will sell Ki in the summer for about £5M. He slows the game down too much for my liking.

I've even got a player lined up in my mind to replace Ki next summer.
