we are terrible fans when we decide that a player who had a good world cup and pre season should be sold because he didnt have a good first game of the season ffs, in that case lets sell maloney and juarez and brown and every other * who played, the guys 21 ffs and has loads of potential, we should give him more games not sell him :87:

he made some incredible touches in the preseason and vs braga up until the penalty, the bhoy obviously has self-esteem issues, we need to get behind him and give him a shot, we ride him like this its only going to get worse like with brown and mick

Get a grip. The boy is 20, has bags of potential. Was one of S.K best players in the WC.
Why get rid? When you have no arguemnet to back it up?

fragility is something he can change, i remember a time when C. Ronaldo was too fragile and look at him now, he's strong and its something ki can acheive too ino

Ki is a great talent - was very impressive at the World Cup.

I reckon anyone who thinks he can't hack it in the SPL has lost sight of what football is.

the spl will never change with the mentality that if you're not strong enough you wont make it, no wonder scotland dont produce many technically gifted players, if you want to be a footballer here all you need to do is be able to kick it, and be strong :87:

It doesn't need saying as it's been said already but. I disagree.

    I think he's a fantastic prospect.

This is probably one of the most offensive posts I've ever read on talkceltic.

Ki is quality, if you can't see that you need you're eyes checked. He's not a Steven Gerrard box to box type, but what he is is a fantastic Xabi Alonso type player - fantastic continuity play, takes possession off the back 4 (if we didn't have Ki who would do that? Brown!?), plays the SIMPLE pass when required, has wonderful vision for the long ball, and as proven pre-WC, at the WC and in pre-season has a wicked dead-ball ability.

    Utterly shocking this topic

If people are so concerned with him not being physically strong enough, that's something he can work on, hit the gym and bulk up a bit improve his strength and toughen up, but at least he has a basic understanding of football already, some players like Brown are never going to learn that if they haven't already.

I'd rather have a technically skilled player that needs a bit of time to adapt to the spl than players who can handle the rough and tumble but bring pretty much nothing else to the table.

There hasn't been one competitive game for us where he's stood out and had a good game. He's like another Mizuno.

ive never seen him do anything thats caught my eye, he keeps hold of the ball too long and then lose's it. he doesnt play the simple pass he tries the glory pass. and his dead ball ability is absolutly terrible.

he does have potential, so i wouldnt want to sell him, everyone deserves a chance here and i hope he becomes what he can be :50:

You are easily offended then. If we can have posts and debates about Scott Brown and others, why should Ki or anybody else be above debate.
From debate and introspection comes the pros and cons of any arguement, and we can then judge the merits and opinions of the forum.

You are obviously entrenched in your opinion on Ki and that is your prerogative, just as others have the right to exercise their opinions and prerogatives.

I do not see the wonderful Xabi Alonso talents you attribute to Ki, rather I see someone who has failed as yet to adapt to the Scottish game, can very often go missing in action and be a passenger in the team. And as for the wicked dead ball abilities of Ki that you wax lyrical about, tell me this how many goals has Ki scored for Celtic ? and how many goals has Ki scored from dead ball positions for Celtic.?

Do you see Ki's free kick the other night against Sporting Braga ?
I reckon it must be sitting on the Moon's surface by now.
