I am afraid this guy Ki dozen't do it for me. I wasn't enamoured by him
last year to be honest when he all too often went missing in action.I just don't see what Ki brings to the team at all, as he has neither the strength or footballing intelligence to be able to be on the same wavelength as the rest of the squad, and in all honesty I would liken it to be one man down when he is playing in the team.I don't really get this obsession Peter Lawwell has with the Asian football market as I don't think most of them are cut out for the rough and tumble of SPL football. The only one who had any real success here was Naka, but even he could very often disappear in the thick of action in the SPL. And don't get me started on Zheng or Koki. I think we were conned into paying £2M for Ki and I think we should sell him, as I can't ever see Ki making it here because he looks like a little boy lost out there on the field.

Not a chance... Think of the shirt sales in Korea that we'll miss out on..

Seriously though , I think he's a guy that has shown decent attributes in controlling a ball , passing and delivery at set pieces to say he can add the other pieces to his game and become an asset in much the way Petrov took a settling in period but while we're STILL in the transitional phase we simply need to be getting the most out of our starting lineup and untill there's a solid base in the team to accomodate a guy like Ki who'll make mistakes , it's going to be hard for him to emerge as an influential player because we'll scrutinise every single mistake as a reason for him to be left out , and the people he's looking for guidance from on the pitch aren't giving him it..

Probs based on the recent game? which wasnt an SPL game. Give him time hes a young lad and not every player needs to be built like a brickwall just needs to not fear getting in opponents faces.

He has only been with us since the start of this year & having seen Sth Korea play during the WC qualifying & again over the summer in Sth Aftica he has shown there is something there...

Or should Celtic simply embark on a policy of getting rid of any player that has an ounce of technical ability in favour for 11 burly rugby players that can take all the batterings in the world & hope that Lenny, Thommo & co can teach them a thing or 2 about how to kick a round ball?

Some players from totally different cultures take time to settle. We seen his class at the world cup.How long will you give Juarez and Kayal as they will probably be the same.Would you have punted Petrov after 6 months or Larsson after he gave the ball to Chic Charnley:rolleyes:

He doesnt look adapted at all but I would give him a lot of time, at least all of this season to adapt.

    Yes, i think you are!!

to be fair he was pish last night, his distribution was on the whole poor and showed absolutley no awareness with regards the numbr of times he was caught in possession, hes talented but he needs a whole heap of polishing to get him there!!! but as for selling him, dont be a * mug the guy needs time pure and simple!!

Give the Bhoy a feckin chance...rememmber he's a young lad, its a foreign league and its bound to take him time to settle, to suggest we should "sell" him is pure & utter drivel and borders on the farcical.

Ki came here with a very good reputation and i for one have big hopes for him, i can think of plenty of others in that Midfield i'd punt before him...step forward messers Brown, Maloney, McGinn, Crosas....

It's pre * season pre * season , players are still finding there Feet Ki is just back from his break after the world cup it will take him a few games to get back to normal and match fit , Ki, Juarez ,Cha should never have started last night is was clear to all they had not played enough with the players and was no where near fit enough to start should have been used off the bench.
School boy mistakes from the manager ,

there was a player called naka something ? naka murphy ? na

    nakamura

wasnt looking too good at first at all

but last nights game in portugal could have been doing with the naka

basically Ki with a good run of games n a bit time could become a decent strong player

last nights free kick was the first real bad one - in the world cup and last season his shots and kicks were looking very good - blame that daft orange sponge ball rather than ki - :)

keep ki lets get some scottish in aboot them talent added to his ninja skills

I think some people need to learn to be patient. Players don't become great over night. This season is his chance to show what he can do. Talk of getting rid of him before giving him a season to show what he can do is laughable.

We dont have time!!!! how much time do you want to give players

Ki was pish last night, every time i see him, he looks lost i dont rate this bhoy one bit
and the 2 million paid for him is OTT, this dosh could have been used for someone who has a bit more SPL savvy

sorry but another waste of jersey
