Total pish Braga deserved it but we never made them work hard for it ,Loovens and big jos looked like two big * tonight not looking good , Cha and Juarez should never have started aint kicked a ball in weeks , poor stuff from Lennon got it all wrong tonight and he needs to learn fast , no chance us going threw and we have just went and handed the huns extra funds in tv money Celtic saving them yet again ,

just because we buy players lhads dont mean we are gonna walk through games! ive said all along that the quality of all celtics signings this and last season are * poor .Ive had a bad feeling since day one .We might be a bit better when if we get heskey and james:triplomur

brown hasnt been as bad as you make out. plus he had personal problems for the first season or two, then he was under a * manager where the whole team were poor. he does deserve a chance, he has a lot of potential

i didnt say they dont deseve a chance, every player deserves a chance, just saying on what i have seen of them (including before celtic) they dont look any good.

At the end of the day, all those people out their with season tickets would be foolish not to turn up and i reckon most of them will. I still think there will be a good turn out as people wouldn't want to miss out on the possibility of something great happening.

Right ok, but i think its a bit early to be talking about Lenny's flaws, it is clear and obvious that he is still learning, but up until we went 1-0 down i was fairly happy, it went downhill from there and before it i had no complaints other than that we weren't getting at them, which is the players influence really.

I really, really, don't wana get into a debate but i just think how said about lenny not addressing the problems, he is trying to by signing Juarez and Kayal and he has said he is still in the market for a striker, a Lb, a cb and a gk.

A never thought, or said you didnt support him, i just think its a bit early, like i said, transfer window ain't shut, and the game was ruined by variables including the debatable penalty and the crappy referee. Otherwise we wouldn't be having this conversation. All i say is we give him a chance and get behind him.

I don't really get what i've triggered out of you mate. I don't really have a massive opinion on your psot but i feel its a bit early to be talking about Lenny as a manager with flaws when things are still very much coming together.

Good that we're both behind him though, :shamrock:

That's just not going to happen it will only happen if Mcgeady leaves we have limited money to buy a top class striker and also mulgrew ain't the only one on here getting abuse they all are

All I am goin going say (which I'm sure people have already) is that the whole game was pretty *. Neither team played well but I think; that the pen was unlucky, Loovens actaully looked llike he pointed out to teh attacker where to run to score, and Zaluska should have at least stayed on his line.
End of the day, Braga showed me * all and even if we don't score 3 at CP it is still early in the season and we can be better coz after all MON and GS didnt have great starts at the euro stage.
Plus this season is about the SPL, not europe. European fottball is a bonus in my book this year, SPL is the main goal and if lack of European football hepls us win teh league the so be it. Our last two quality managers didnt have euro football in their first year either.

Mulgrew and Cha had no protection at any point in the game and were vulnerable to the guy in the free role. They didn't know who to mark.

You must have been watching a diffrent game from me then mate, if you think Ledley was as bad as Mulgrew.

The whole team bad but Mulgrew one of the worst.

tonight as a first game for manager and a few players in portugal against a tough wee team, give the rest of them time but samaras up front on his own is a dire decision fortune's prob ure best bet for that type of tactics followed by rasmussen, a wanted lennon from th start and am still keep the faith with him it was a penalty a corner and a free kick in reality and no away goal :(
the away goal and samaras are my only real worry's tonyt, a dont want samaras to be one of our main threats when we have much better players

Strachan lost heavily to artmedia in his first game......then delivered the title.

Lennon will get past braga and win the title IMO....but only just

    Get behind the Bhoys !!

Ok so it was a * performance and a * result, no point arguing that cause I can't. But there are other ways to deal with the disappointment than just crucifying the team and manager after one game and declaring the season over before it's even begun!

There were no doubt some shockers tonight, imo Mulgrew was awful and must improve if he wants to be our starting LB this season. But i have faith in him and think he'll come good as will the rest of our new signings.

As for the likes of Brown, Loovens, Samaras and Maloney... they weren't much better but they did try. I hate seeing posts about Brown being a hun and Samaras being this, and Loovens being that. I believe these players go out and give their all for the team. Whether they're good enough or not isn't for me to decide really, but i'll back them for as long as they're in a Celtic shirt playing for our club.

We got knocked down tonight but not out, and i think with a bit of belief and a full support behind the team, we can blow Braga away in the 2nd leg! :shamrock::shamrock:
