No one trys to take any of the players on, we * about passing back, * about with it in defence and then hoof it forward. At least Paddy McCourt trys to dribble.
Don't think Zaluska is that bad, made some decent saves, still miss Boruc though

my major concern before the game was the fact that, in none of the friendlies played, did we put out a strong team or a team similar to tonight. You can't just fling them all in together - they need to gel and build up their fitness. Probably down to some inexperience on Lenny's part i'm afraid. Onwars and upwards i say

 

think he deserves a fresh start under a new coach, last season and pre-season under lenny he has looked pretty good

Four of the players out there tonight Lennon signed so maybe he has to take some of the blame if they aint "Celtic at heart".

 

dont go down that road cos thats a pile o * they were a decent side, reasonably solid at the back and real pace on the attack plus their wingers were dangerous the boy alan looked good they were far from being a poor side mate!! just be honest dont look to blame anyone but our own players WE were pish and although it pains me to say so we got what we deserved for our negative tactics!!

Jurez was not bad, he was running all over the place and seemed to be the only one who cared, ledley was stuck as a DM a position that he should not be in, Maloney was utter * and brown was horrible. Mulgrew was horrible and so was loovens. Why is it tho that lenny refused to make any subs until it was too late

 

why play sami up front on his own when he played wide on the left in all the friendlies

Only watched the first half but I dont recall putting the slightest bit of pressure on the defense.

Whenever Samaras got the ball he just lost it, hes useless upfront on his own.

Lennon should never have played 5 new signings in his first competitive game, maximum 2.

Should have played 5 at the back rather than the midfield, mabye come out with at best a 0-0 draw, worst probably a 1-0 loss. Much better than that * anyway.

Fs, I was so optimistic about this season as well..

 

A few poor individual performances granted, but lets be honest they played like strangers because - THEY ARE STRANGERS!

Its unfortunate that this team's first competitive game together was a European qualifier but don't look at this as any more than a baptism of fire. Just remember Artmedia and what followed!

That's good news, that means braga its a bad team... Celtic has more quality, it was just a bad night... team needs time to adjust details. I'm quite confident that things are going to be a lot different in celtic park....
