He is sometimes the first port of call when foundations have to be laid. Direct your attention to his site today and read his piece about Gary Hooper, a fine piece of expectation management. Hooper is available immediately release a story about how we cant afford his wage demands which are reported to be 32k. We could afford to pay that full quote if we wanted to and thats not taking into account that he might sign for less. Read through his site a lot of little myths start from there. Im not saying he is on the payroll of Lawwell or anything but his blog does his bidding a lot of the time. He has a PLC source for sure and he normally publishes favourable articles in their defense.

They must fall out regularly then because I've read plenty of articles I doubt the Club would be best pleased about.

Seems you're being cynical. We won't afford 30 odd grand, as good as 'can't'.

Wont instead of cant being correct.

I believe he has attended club functions etc. I am not calling his integrity onto question (yet) but he is suffering from embedded journalism syndrome in that he has met with the board in social situations. This creates a bias whether he knows it or not and rocking the boat with them will cut out a good source of information.

I would take him back in a minute. Offer him £25,000 a week and see if he's interested.

Another 2 goals today. 6 in 6 for Wednesday.

We should be trying to get him back.

Imagine a hooper and Griffiths both smashing in 30+ each not to mention the rest of the team...

I would love him back as much as the next person but I dont think he's meant to be a sole striker up top. He would still score for us but not nearly as much as we'd be accustomed to. Im sure Wednesday are going to lock him up as well.

Now the most prolific scorer in the Championship this season averaging a goal every 111.8 minutes, ahead of Bobby Zamora, Andre Gray, Charlie Austin and Abel Hernandez.

That's quite impressive from Hooper, especially as he looked to be in a bad place not that long ago. Griffiths is doing well for us but it would be good to have Hooper for Europe. Just going by the stats not wanting to write Leigh off. Two of them up front could be a sight to see.

If we had Hooper and Griffiths up top in a 4-4-2 diamond formation we would be some side domestically and have plenty of firepower for Europe too ( relatively speaking )
