Fair enough point, do you think if we offered £50k a week, and Norwich offered £30k a week he'd go? I'm actually not all that sure.
Plus, this isn't the first contract we've went to him with so he obviously had his reasons for not signing the first time, and we've came back with another offer, possibly suggests we offered a compromise on what he wanted but we'll probably never know!

Definitely playing on his mind though I'd imagine so I do agree in the most part with you. At the same time, he could go to Norwich and as NorwichFan said, he could be starved of service and that might hinder him. If this Spurs link is true and he can force his way into their starting line-up I think that'd be a great move for him.

    seems that way.

done a job for us and will make the club a tidy profit.
if his ambitions are playing for a bottom EPL club, then good luck to him. :bbpd::bbpd::bbpd:

Maybe. But because the media say Hooper is leaving (leaving, not left) people automatically think he is crap. Seen people on Facebook saying "he's crap anyway". Some of our fans would believe anything.

Oh well then, looks like he's away. Good luck, Gary. Don't watch much English games so won't see much of him. Looks like next time I'll see him will be in the paper, under a headline reading "Take me home Celts".

    Stupid stupid boy.

He'll be playing the night and most likely probably stay until the summer.

We can't lose him in January.

It would be a sore, sore blow. If we can delay it until the summer I'll be delighted.

I hate all this * about, it's the not knowing that is annoying. If he's going, go fs, if not then stay and weesht about it until the summer. The longer this goes on, if he does leave then we will have minimal time to replace him.

if we can at least delay his transfer till the summer then that would be a great achievement. In some ways I can't blame the guy the SPL is so * and uncompetitive whereas in England there is a lot more competition.

Listen if he wants to go show him the door, no point in keeping a player that doesn't want to be here. It pains me to say it because i really like hooper but lets face it be it this window or the next he's going back to England.

I'd be disappointed if Hooper goes now, he has a while left on his current deal, we are offering him probably something of a lucrative offer just now and Celtic are in a great position. He should stay committed till the summer then do what he wants.

Hooper at the moment is worth more to us on the pitch than in the balance sheet, unless somebody offers at least £12m we should not even contemplate letting him go before the end of next seasons Champions League qualifiers.

he is goin to leave sometime.. all players do eventually... main thing is to cheer him on and support him even more on the pitch the way only celtic fans can... starting tonight..and i couldn care less if he is sold for a milion quid or twenty milion... being a celtic supporter to me is priceless..!

Never understand the pelters from certain fans, the lad was a good promising player who turned into a great frontman for us and is now being hunted to play in a better and bigger league, this is all part of the lenny/park squad management, as long as we get good prices and find fresh talent i think its great for club and players

obviously we would all like to keep our best, but aint gonna happen, big vic will be next

If all Hooper wants is to be one of the top earners at the club, then give him the money he deserves and stop being so * miserable

If he does indeed want to leave this month, get at least 8m for him, wish him all the best and move on. We already have a player capable of filling his postion in Stokesy

Either way, I think the board have handled this rather shitely
