I am sure we stood at 7m bank debt and im guessing your using the 6million for Ki to bring that to 1M. That doesn't include our other debts though apart from bank debt.

Things like payments for players etc...

So we will have money that we are due in i.e transfer fees for our players e.g. Ki vs Transfer fees we are paying to other clubs, e.g. Ambrose etc...

So while bank debt is low, i am not sure on the ratio between money we owe and money we are owed.

Welcome to the forum mate. Just one thing, we will never play Rangers again as they very sadly died last summer :icon_mrgreen::icon_mrgreen::icon_mrgreen:

We may play their pathetic reincarnation, Sevco of Divsion 3 obscurity, some time in the next few years but that will be a boring affair reminiscent of a playground match where one team has 16 players all in their final year and the other is made up of 2 dinner ladies and a stray dog.

Aye, the Ki money and then Champions League money on top of it.

That's not exactly true... For example, Arsenal make their wage bill public, obviously they don't do the break down of it, but the overall figure alone would serve to prove the point you are quite rightly making.

Our wage bill was £33.9million last season and Norwich's was £29.6million. So we had a higher wage-bill than them last season although it has probably changed as theirs will be bigger this season if they gave players new contracts and signed new players. Ours is probably smaller due to the amount of players who left O'Dea, Loovens, Majstorovic, Wilson, Ki, McGinn, Rasmussen, Cervi, Juarez, Thompson and Cha and not that many came in or got new contracts.

Norwich got £48.5million in TV money last season. Sickening to imagine than when we only get about £1.5million and yet are on TV much more than them probably.

Whats this about Hooper going to Norwich? Just a rumour? Can't see him wanting to take what would be a MASSIVE step down.

People say that but its not really.

Its a step down in Club and facilities etc etc but its a massive step up in standard he'll be playing.

A lot of our fans have said "why would he go to Norwich when hes in the Champions League and has games against Juventus coming up". Without realising they are only talking about 2 matches. If he went to Norwich he is guarenteed basically to play Spurs, Arsenal, Liverpool, Newcastle, Chelsea, Man Utd, Man City, Everton etc once this season and then twice next season. Its far more high quality games in 18 months than he could dream of at Celtic unless we go all the way to the final of the Champions League.

Hooper going to Norwich is just a rumour, unfortunately we'll never know until it's happened.
If Norwich manage to stay in the Premiership for a while it's a step up. It's a much higher level of football than our league.

QPR could be a better fit, they need a striker badly and Harry has money to spend

It is a step down, Norwich could be playing Real Madrid and Barcelona on an endless loop and he'd still be playing for Norwich, which is a step down from Celtic.

You haven't a clue or/and are obviously looking for an argument. He'd be daft to go to Norwich, end of story.

Hooper can do better than Norwich. There's no doubt playing in the Premier is a set-up in class, but nowhere near as big a club as Celtic. The Champions' League nights are experiences that money can't buy. * knows what it would be like if we went further in the Champions' League and that is where he has to prove he can do it at that level, every time he plays in Europe. It'd be daft going into that game without him. You just never know what he'll do in these games.

For that reason, i hope he just signs the deal to stay. We don't need the money right now and maybe we have more to lose by selling him a few weeks before we go up against arguably the best team around.

yes I would imagine the likes of Hopper can do better than Norwich. Ultimately it depends on the lad and his ambitions. If his advisers, tell him go to Norwich but they want a release clause like Ba did to Newcastle. That's the only situation, you could see being in his interest.

If he stays here I reckon he could become an all time great here, but he have to stay a good 4-5 years and score 30ish a season.
