that's not much praise mate, a bollard could score more goals than lafferty.

This guy is quality, not only his finishing but his link and hold up play as well.

I'd start him at the top of a 4-2-3-1 formation with Fortune on 1 wing and Forrest on the other with Juarez in behind.

hwll be spl top scorer , he scored 18 in 20 for a struggling championship side. in the spl , if he plays 30 games , i see him scoring 25 plus goals, will find it easy i think.

Reckon he's a dead cert for top scorer this season. Anyone know what the odds are for that? He's gonna be outstanding in the SPL

really think hooper and jaurez look amazing, but i also reckon fortune and hooper look very clever together! If lenny starts these two i reckon theyll form a good partnership, think fortune looked good against arsenal and braga tonight!

Think Hooper through the middle with Sammy and Fortune wide in a 4-3-3 would be magic.

Hooper:icon_mrgreen: could be a real fans fav, like what av seen so far. He could in a team that makes a lot of chances easily score 20-30 goals a season me thinks:50:

Would he be able to play with Rass upfront, or rather the other way round as judging by his displays, he's first choice? I haven't been impressed by MAF pre season, and I see Samaras as an impact sub, as he has shown pre season

The only thing id say about him tonight is he needs to shoot when he has an opening. There were a few times tonight when he could have had a pop but didn't. Otherwise good player.

What a difference fortune made Lennon must be kicking himself that he never started with him.as for hooper he will score loads.I would prefer he does a Boyd and hang about the box banging in the goals

i thought he looked overweight, and did not get a sniff at goal other than hitting the ball over the line as it was going in, i dont share this view that he is going to be a goal machine...i think its hope more than reason...that my opinion anyway, i much prefer skippy...

I'm consistently negative in most of my threads -so i'll continue with this little morsel: The night when our one real positive (from the night and in TC threads) is that a young player from Scunthorpe is the standout performer for Celtic FC in a Champions League qualifier, which we've just failed to qualify in, is a very dark night. The road to recovery should have started last season, but the board got it majorly wrong.

We do not belong in the CL; hopefully getting into the Europa League will swell the coffers with some TV money and get our profile up again. This has also come to soon for the team, but that shows you the pitfalls of finishing 2nd and is another reason to make sure we win the league this season - as if we need any more incentive.

You think Hooper is overweight and you much prefer Skippy?

He has a turn of pace McDonald can only dream of, links up nicely and chases back at every opportunity.

He may not score as many as Skippy or he may, but from what I've seen so far he is far superior in every other aspect of being a striker.
