Championship league is a backwater. Mowbray's WBA looked good, while in that league. The whole English football is overrated, but Celtic don't see it, and continue to buy untested players from there.

 

Good luck to the lad hope he can get a early goal and get off the mark , seems a shy lad and that would give him a massive lift , lets back the lad and give him time to settle ,

Have to admit I have never seen him in action yet but based on the transfer fee I expect some goals. Just hope he is better than what we already have.

Players have to be special to come to these shores from Scandinavia as their leagues are slower than ours. (Rasmussen, still not sure)

Russian teams and Ukrainians would ask a bomb in fees.

Those are good leagues in S.America, but a bit of a gamble

Half of they players wouldnt get a work permit and the ones that would are proven internationals that we cant afford

I like the look of Gary Hooper whenever I have seen him.

A real penalty box striker. Always seems to be in the right place at the right time and puts away his share of goals. He's at a good age to keep improving as well, so here's hoping he is a success.

 

Why does it matter where he's come from?

 

Does anyone have a video of any of his goals? I saw one goal of his on youtube. That was all I could find. There was apparently a link on the BBC of his best goals, but I couldn't watch it because my IP address is not from their territory.

 

scandinavia? ukraine? No thanks.. i would much rather a player from the championship.

 

why ? bring umpteen foreign players from a totally different cultural background who more than likely would have trouble fitting in

 

I'd rather bring any of those than an Englishman.
