but i was jus thinkin there, we have been linked with some great players, an was jus thinkin that its startin to show the clubs ambition, an say we do pull in some of these players (james, campell, gallas, kamal an hooper) we have a real decent team an think we could be a very scared team in europe if we qualify, parkhead on its own is a scary place for any team, due to us fans, but if we have real quality on the park an our fans we could do really well!! None of those players have done anything in their career to be remembered as great players. Other than Gallas and maybe Campbell the others have done nothing. I can't see top class European defenders being scared of lining up against Hooper.

I am hopeful for the coming season though.

 

I have never ever known a transfer window like this before. The players that are coming in and the players that we are being linked with are the creme de la creme.

people have short memories on here. Its only been 2.5 months since our pitiful season came to an end and our team, rightly, were roundly criticised, with many people believing it would take years to fix the problems left by Mowbray. Since then we have appointed Lennon and every fan was in agreement that our priority is the SPL, nothing more, nothing less. A month down the line we have signed a couple of bosmans, an unproven striker with a less than impressive strike rate and what appears to be a good signing in Juarez. I believe things are improving in terms of creating a team capable of wrestling back the SPL title but to think of becoming a force in Europe again is, simply, unfair pressure on both Lennon and the team. Everyone is right to be optimistic but the phrase 'Don't run before you can walk springs to mind'.

Great players?? hardy...James, and Campbell are finished and Gallas is almost there...plus he would be a liability in the dressing room Kamal and hooper look decent but they are completely unproven.....

We potentially have a great team next season but I would be more excited by Ledley, Kamal, Ki, Cha, Juarez and Misun improving the team rather than James and Campbell.

Heid was better than Campbell last season

 

If we won the treble id be over the moon, id be satisfied with Cl groupstage cos atleast its 6 games to look forward to! Anything more would be a complete bonus.

Come on ppl saying they would settle for group stage of champions league? We are going into it as runners up of a terrible league. Can we please just focus on ripping they awful blue ribbons off our trophy and take europe one game at a time, lets start with emmm... the runners up of the Portugese league, a team that came above the likes of Porto and Sporting Lisbon last season, a team who does not lose at home. Im confident we can beat them but I am not even daring to think of who we could get in next round. We did that with Artmedia nd then we got *.
